Crash resolution due to PaperDoll

After many tests it seemed that after a while Minecraft would crash, the crash was due to the PaperDoll mod when entering the servers Cosmetica would load the cosmetics and at the same time PaperDoll would load the character and also the cosmetics he had on and this gave serious problems to the point of shutting down Minecraft and enabling the appearance only when you move seems to solve it

Adding Faithful 32x and 64x to resource packs

Add to the list of Faithful 32x and 64x resource packs, we have read their licence on their site, this is the link https://faithfulpack.net/license and we have also asked on their discord so it seems that as we have put the others we can also apply it for these 2 resource packs respecting their license below the copy of the license

FAITHFUL LICENSE
Version 3 - 20th February 2023

Copyright © Faithful Resource Pack

You may do the following:

1: Use our work as placeholders.

2: Use our work as a base or reference for your own content (e.g. modded textures, content creator edits).

3: Use a few textures that you cannot properly make, such as painting or particle textures.

4: Distribute a modified copy of a pack as a content creator with your videos or streams.

5: Use our work for adventure maps, server resource packs, mod textures, or data packs.

By doing any of the above, you agree to follow these requirements:

1: Give clear credit in an appropriate place (e.g. video descriptions, pack.mcmetas, listing descriptions).

2: Link back to our website, which you can find here:
	https://faithfulpack.net/

3: Don't take credit for work you didn't make and always give proper attribution to any work you use or modify. In addition, try to be somewhat specific about what you're using, as "GUI originally from Faithful 32x" works a lot better than "some textures from Faithful". Just be honest about what you're using, use common sense when in doubt, and you'll be fine.

4: Do not monetize content that contains any of our work, modified or not, under any circumstances. This includes locking your content behind a paywall (including the Minecraft Marketplace) or monetizing download links. Taking voluntary donations is still allowed, but if it feels like you're profiting off our work don't do it.

5: Don't make your projects look official when they aren't. Examples of this behavior would include copying our branding or marking a project as "official" in a way that would confuse the average viewer into believing a project is official when it isn't.

6: This file, unmodified, must be included in any content which contains any of our work.

Exceptions:

1: If you're doing anything privately or undistributed to our work (e.g. custom edit for personal use, unpublished add-ons, mod support, personal Minecraft server resource pack, or edits either by you or from different packs) you can safely disregard all of these requirements since you are not gaining unfairly from us in any form.

2: Projects not directly related to textures (e.g. website, bot) may have separate licenses with different terms. Check their respective pages or repositories for more information. If nothing is mentioned, assume that all rights remain reserved.

3: If you are using textures made before March 2016 (Minecraft Release 1.9). These textures are licensed under Vattic's original Faithful 32x32 license, which has different requirements compared with this license. We reserve the right to:

1: Refuse the ability to use, distribute, or modify any work made by us for any person or group. This action would be final, generally only in the case of unusual circumstances.

Remove ClearDespawn mod

🧩 Mod Name

ClearDespawn

📖 Mod Description

Make items blink when they're about to despawn

🔗 Link to Mod on Modrinth

https://modrinth.com/mod/cleardespawn

❓ Reason for Addition

We inform you with this official announcement that the mod ClearDespawn will soon be removed from our modpack. This decision was made with the goal of improving stability in multiplayer servers and solving problems associated with holograms containing objects. The effect of flashing objects just before they disappear, the main feature of ClearDespawn, has been shown to cause visual interference and problems with holograms in several multiplayer servers.

ℹ️ Additional Information

After careful analysis, it was found that the implementation of ClearDespawn is not fully compatible with the dynamics of multiplayer servers. The object blinking effect interferes with the proper display of holograms containing objects, creating a visual discontinuity and causing objects to be improperly removed.

Removing the Bobby mod

🧩 Mod Name

Bobby

📖 Mod Description

Allows for render distances greater than the server's view-distance

🔗 Link to Mod on Modrinth

https://modrinth.com/mod/bobby

❓ Reason for Addition

Motivation for Removing the Bobby Mod in a Modpack

We decided to exclude the Bobby mod from our modpack to optimize overall performance and ensure a more stable gaming experience. While Bobby offers versatile functionality, we feel that the alternatives in our modpack are better suited to our specific needs.

Rationale for Removing Bobby in the Modpack Context.

The Bobby mod, with its temporary or stored cache for chunks and ability to function as a seed-based model for singleplayer worlds, may not fully integrate with the dynamics of our modpack. Its removal is geared toward ensuring a cohesive game environment free of possible conflicts with other mods present.

ℹ️ Additional Information

Alternative Mod Options in the Modpack.

To provide players with a customized experience, we have selected alternatives that better integrate with the dynamics of our modpack:

  1. Farsight: Temporary cache for chunks with extended rendering distances up to 64 chunks.

  2. Hold That Chunk: Temporary cache that empties over time, great for automatically managing occupied memory.

  3. Nvidium: Mod specifically for NVIDIA GPUs, works as an add-on to Sodium to increase frames per second and temporarily store chunks.

  4. Distant Horizons: Temporary cache that renders chunks differently, promising superior performance; currently in alpha stage without shader support.

  5. Bobby: temporary or stored chunk cache, can work with singleplayer worlds as a seed-based blueprint

We thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we seek to optimize our modpack to provide a more cohesive and fulfilling gaming experience.

Removing the Vanilla Notebook mod

After a little bit of testing and research, the latest versions of the mod are some in Alpha and some in Beta, and its creator has also put a warning that some servers might see it as cheating, which is why we prefer to remove the mod so as not to have future problems Below is the screen shot of the warning

image

Removing the Recursive Resources mod

After a bit of checking and reasoning, it was decided to remove the mod because we don't really know how useful it is, and also because it is almost always developed for the latest version, in this case 1.20.1, the previous versions are no longer developed, so we have to develop three different menus with Fancy Menu, which requires too much work, and then we have menus that are different from each other.

Adding support for PolyMC

Add PolyMC to the list of supported launchers in order to expand the list and bring LifeMC to the PolyMC community Below are some known features of PolyMC taken from the Information on the official website available at the following link https://polymc.org/about

What is PolyMC? [#](https://polymc.org/about/#what-is-polymc)
PolyMC is a custom launcher for Minecraft that was forked from MultiMC. It allows the creation, and management of multiple installations of the game, or "instances" rather, each having their own separate mods, resource packs, settings, and more. While originally being forked over packaging/redistribution concerns, PolyMC brings new and exciting features developed by the community for the community. Furthermore, PolyMC is still just as true to its roots as ever in providing a project that vows to never bring hostility to those looking to fork, redistribute, or repackage, so long as the terms of our license are respected.

I'm in! Now tell me more about these features? [#](https://polymc.org/about/#i'm-in!-now-tell-me-more-about-these-features)

Install modpacks from many platforms such as CurseForge, Technic, FTB, FTB Legacy and Modrinth.
Install individual mods from CurseForge and Modrinth, automatically tailored to match your loader and game version.
Kill Minecraft easily in the event of a crash or freeze.
Access all your logs easily.
Built using Qt technologies, allowing the launcher to be both very performant, as well as light on system resources.
And much, much more.

Better icon and menu changes

We have decided to change the icons of the menu made in FancyMenu to those of https://phosphoricons.com/ open-source and free and under MIT license and also to eliminate the menu that was previously used by the Recursive Resources #243 mod. The icons will be used as SVG RAW black and white icons and put in Lunacy, which was used to prototype the menu, the black ones for the white buttons and the white ones for the black buttons, in order to have a better contrast and a final rendering very nice to see and pleasing to the eyes.

Remove Minecalc mod

We decided to remove the Minecalc mod because its creator no longer responds you have bugs and to make it stable and this causes many instabilities in the modpack

Add Screenshot Viewer mod

🧩 Mod Name

Screenshot Viewer

📖 Mod Description

View your screenshots in game!

🔗 Link to Mod on Modrinth

https://modrinth.com/mod/screenshot-viewer

❓ Reason for Addition

By introducing the dedicated screenshot management menu mod into our modpack, we open the door to a more immersive and creative gaming experience. This mod simplifies screenshot management by providing an intuitive menu for viewing, editing, and sharing images captured during the adventure. By allowing players to customize their snapshots directly in-game, this addition promotes creative expression and facilitates the sharing of epic moments within our player community. In short, the integration of this mod significantly enhances the overall experience by providing an easy and fun way to capture and share unforgettable moments in our virtual world.

Adding support for MultiMC

Add MultiMC to the list of supported launchers in order to expand the list and bring LifeMC to the MultiMC community Below are some known features of MultiMC taken from the Information on the official website available at the following link https://multimc.org/

Overview
MultiMC is an alternative launcher for Minecraft. It allows you to have multiple, cleanly separated instances of Minecraft (each with their own mods, resource packs, saves, etc) and helps you manage them and their associated options with a simple and powerful interface.

Download links for the latest version are below.

Features
Manage multiple isolated instances of Minecraft, keeping them clean.
Drill into the details - see the logs, mods and everything else easily.
No surprises - MultiMC aims to stay predictable and do what you tell it to do.
Fine control over Java settings and runtimes. Each instance has settings overrides that you can enable on top of the global settings.
MultiMC game logs come with extra information that helps diagnose problems, and they are color coded.
Support for running old versions the way they were released, instead of relying on compatibility hacks.
Kill Minecraft easily if it crashes / freezes.
MultiMC is extremely lightweight, enabling it to run in the background and keeping an eye on the game even on ancient machines where every megabyte of memory matters.
Easy installation of common mod loaders - Forge, Fabric, Quilt and LiteLoader.
Minecraft world and resource/texture pack management.
Import and export of Minecraft instances to share them with anyone.
Import modpacks from various platforms - Modrinth, CurseForge and FTB (via import from [FTB App](https://www.feed-the-beast.com/app)), Technic, ATLauncher and FTB legacy. The more, the merrier.

Remove Log Cleaner mod

We decided to remove the Log Cleaner peer mod to prevent people not being aware of it from having their logs deleted after 14 days so we avoid having problems as I have was for #250

Introduction you have CLI programmes

We decided to help the best by creating our own CLI programmes made to work within our team and will be available in the repository are four .sh files divided for export, update, language update and resource update

Remove Translations for Sodium

After a short decision we came to the conclusion to detach from this resource by inserting the parts to be translated ourselves so that we could start creating our own independent internal translation and reduce the burden of modpack and downloaded resources

Removing the Screenshot to Clipboard mod

After several checks, it was decided to remove Screenshot to Clipboard because by overwriting the clipboard afterwards, those who had important notes will find their screen and to prevent this from happening without their knowledge, we decided it was best to remove the mod.

Remove the Better Name Visibility mod

🧩 Mod Name

Better Name Visibility

📖 Mod Description

Increases the visibility of names behind blocks

🔗 Link to Mod on Modrinth

https://modrinth.com/mod/better-name-visibility

❓ Reason for Addition

I think it is justified to consider removing the Better Name Visibility mod from our modpack. Unfortunately, we have found that this mod significantly interferes with the visibility of player names and holograms, causing a noticeable visual disturbance, as clearly shown in the attached image. This problem is especially pronounced in multiplayer environments, on servers with a large number of players.

In order to ensure a smooth gaming experience and better readability, I believe it is necessary to remove this mod. This will allow us to maintain a cleaner and visually unobstructed gaming environment, especially in multiplayer settings where the disturbance is most noticeable. By removing this mod, we significantly improve the overall quality of gameplay, ensuring that all players can fully enjoy the gaming experience without facing visual inconvenience.
