desktop's Issues

Bug with saving configuration?

Managed to get the desktop app for Linux up and running, but whenever anything tries to write to settings it's giving an error which is rather non-specific, it just says 'warning' and gives the path to /settings.xml, which is empty.

I've checked the permissions on the file which seem to be correct. The app seems to work, just doesn't retain any settings on closing.

Desktop client update

Hi. I like LHC, that's the best app for live help. I use it long time.
You are updating lhc-web so good and add much features, but anyway the preferred method for operators is native app. Just because it is native. It is stable, don't depend on crappy chromium, heavy firefox etc. You just know it works.
Please don't forget to update the QT client and add new features to it, it is platform-intependent and it is easy to deploy. Many live help operators, on paid software use desktop clients.
It is just better.

Thanks for your work and I hope we will get once a new version, right know it is too simple and have some ui issues.

Also, please add some linux instructions, at least these lines:
qmake
make
Coz people need to spend time and find how to build QT applications.
Why you don't provide binaries for Linux?

Thanks and good luck!

Title Tips

Could we have title tips on the action buttons in the chat window in LHC?
There's five buttons that are not very clear what they do until you click them.

I think you have some titles already.

  1. Close Window
    2.Close Chat
  2. Delete Chat
  3. Transfer Chat to another operator
  4. Open Chat in another Window

Note Number 1 actually seems to be broken if clicked when the window has already been opened in another window.

License?

Hello! I can not search license. I want build this software in ROSA Linux and package this in rpm.

Status update based on keyboard/mouse use

Hi. Please add this very important and needed feature to desktop client.
if operator is not at workplace > n minutes, change status to offline.
LHC is the best software, but doesn't support this feature!
Maybe chrome extension support? I guess no.

In 2-years old version of LHC I wrote a php xmpp bot, that check status of my pidgin, and update it in database. Pidgin was configured to auto-away. But now I reinstalled all from scratch and I don't believe such feature still don't exist in this project.

Please help on status update

Configuration scripts?

Hi,

I notice that the desktop client has to be compiled from source, but I don't see any configuration files - might be missing something, but some guidance would be helpful.

Missing sound to the notification?

Hello,

I am not sure is this a problem with my configuration or it comes from the app, but when I get a new chat request there is no sound notification at all. It is a kind of huge problem but I don't see anyone mentioning this so... Am I missing something or it works like this?

Thank you.

P.S. I use Ubuntu 16.04
