pvBlender - ParaView for Blender

Blender add-on for constructing ParaView pipelines

Installation

Just download Paraview release package (with python 3.7), and set appropriate PYTHONPATH:

export PYTHONPATH=[path_to_paraview]/lib/python3.7/site-packages/vtkmodules/:[path_to_paraview]/lib/python3.7/site-packages/:$PYTHONPATH
[path_to_blender]/blender

Usage

Go to "VTK/Paraview Nodes" view and add a panel. Then press "Shift+A" and add some nodes. You will find file readers in Sources.

Any ParaView filter can be used as a node:

And then ...

pvblender's Issues

Cannot reproduce

I’ve tried to reproduce what you show in the README, but couldn’t get there. Tried different Blender & ParaView versions, different paths, different ways to load the libraries - it always fails at some point. Would you be able to give more specifics in terms of Blender, ParaView versions? Can you make it work with Blender 2.90 and ParaView 5.9? Have you tried on Mac, Windows, different Linux flavors? Happy to get involved if you are still into this.
