This is an older web property dating from my first freelancing career at the turn of the century, before I served a 7-year tenure in corporate tech. The site was updated in 2012 with a new logo and a Twitter Bootstrap fluid grid layout, and jQuery slide pagination which I wrote myself.

The old version had VB code which parsed the server-side VB (normally not browsable) into readable code output in an html <pre/> tag. This is useful for when you find job listings that request to see code you’ve written, as IIS (rightly) prevents your ASP.NET files from actually being downloaded, and updating one file didn’t require you to update the other as it was auto-generated. This was a cool trick, but it’s no longer necessary as my code is now publicly visible on GitHub.

The site had an HttpModule for forwarding dead links to old MovableType articles to my new blog (which I moved to Wordpress).

Latest version

The latest version of the site is a minimalist design meant to look like Razor code comments. To the right are some social links as well as a link to my CV.

Redesign with Twitter Bootstrap

Need a new site design as my old one is 7 years old and doesn't properly reflect where I'm at.

Add a new custom 404 page

Bug in jQ slide paging

The paging is set to 1300px right now. This won't have the desired effect for really big monitors.

Changing paging to use rcarousel

The rcarousel jQuery UI plugin would provide smoother page transitions than the current method.

Update mobile layout

for CSS @media queries used for smaller view ports, need to remove the padding at the top of the page, and style the hero div like a normal paragraph.

Responsive menu bug

In portrait view in iPad, submenu stays open when selecting a different "page".

Hard-coded Url issues in JavaScript event handlers

In JScript.js, the even handlers for the image button onclick events for the expand/collapse arrows check for the url "http://www.lorddesign.net". If you load the site at, say, http://lorddesign.net, the event handlers don't work.

Need new favicon

Google Analytics

Add Google Analytics code.

Align logo with hero

Part of #4.

On the home page of the bootstrap test home page, align the logo so that it lines up with the content of the hero graphic.
