amam's Introduction

AMAM - Ask me anything meaningful

AMAM is an open source application and written entirely using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

At the end of the 19th century it was a popular game on social events to answer a questionnaire. They should help to learn about the interviewee and their character. The french author Marcel Proust (1871-1922) was one of the most famous people who answered it. This applications allows to get a randomized question from questionnaire, e.g. the Proust questionnaire, so you can discuss it with another person.

Try it on http://lsubel.github.io/amam.

The master branch is used for the basic application and is runnable by itself in the browser. The phonegap branch contains phonegap specific fields. The gh-pages branch is used for the static hosting of the application (link above).

There exist a repository with an enhanced version of the application used to build Android apks that can be downloaded via F-Droid.

amam's Issues

Improve app icon

The icon needs some minor improvements. As you can see in FOSSDroid, the icon need some outer border or shadow to be distinguishable from the background.

Splashscreen

Check whether it is necessary to add a splashscreen image.

Duplicate questions in Proust questionnaire ?

Hello,
In Proust questionnaire, questions 2 and 19, 4 and 20, 15 and 21, 9 and 25, 7 and 27 are similar or relatively similar. I looked up on the internet and these duplicate are not part of the Proust questionnaires I've found.
Is it done on purpose ?

Suggestion: add descriptions to questionnaires

A short and a long description of the questionnaires could be useful. It would enable to give a short introduction or overview. As simplest implementation this could show up right before the first question.

Add authorship of questionnaires

There should be the possibility to attribute authors for their submitted questionnaires. The attribution should be optional and could contain

  • Nickname
  • Link to Github profile

Closing the modal blows up the history

In case you click on the "close" icon in the modal, the application is transitioning to the root URL. That blows up the history object, as you can see when going back (e.g. on Android).

Rework UI

  • There are some difference when using Webkit-based browsers
