Safe and Easy Bike Navigation in Rome
March 2017, at Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering (Prof. Anagnostopoulos), Sapienza Rome

  • Route planning for cyclists in Rome based on OpenStreetMap
  • Features :
    • Safe mode: Avoid routes with high record of accidents, by incorporating a penalty in the routing algorithm. Uses public dataset of street accidents in Rome.
    • Easy mode: Prefer routes with flat route sections by minimizing elevation gain using topographic data provided by NASA.
