linkedin-clone-yt's Introduction

This is a Next.js project bootstrapped with create-next-app.

Getting Started

First, run the development server:

npm run dev
# or
yarn dev

Open http://localhost:3000 with your browser to see the result.

You can start editing the page by modifying pages/index.js. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.

API routes can be accessed on http://localhost:3000/api/hello. This endpoint can be edited in pages/api/hello.js.

The pages/api directory is mapped to /api/*. Files in this directory are treated as API routes instead of React pages.

linkedin-clone-yt's Issues

The middle ware has changed

Hi
i was following your yt video and on this bit is where i got stuck for a bit i followed everything correctly but a error appeared here.

The code i found worked instead was

import { getToken } from "next-auth/jwt";
import { NextResponse } from "next/server";

export async function middleware(req) {
const url = req.nextUrl.clone();
url.pathname = "/login";
if (req.nextUrl.pathname === "/") {
const session = await getToken({
req,
secret: process.env.JWT_SECRET,
secureCookie: process.env.NODE_ENV === "production",
});
// You could also check for any property on the session object,
// like role === "admin" or name === "John Doe", etc.
if (!session) return NextResponse.redirect(url);
// If user is authenticated, continue.
}
}

has type "image/svg+xml" but dangerouslyAllowSVG is disabled

Hi was following your tutorial and the next.config by default does not optimize SVG images. So the image did not load up. After half an hour of research,

solution
the next.config.js file should look like this:

/** @type {import('next').NextConfig} */
module.exports = {
  images: {
    dangerouslyAllowSVG: true,
    domains: ["rb.gy"],
  },
};
