View counter for ideas

Ideas should have a view counter so that people can see how many people have seen their idea. Would be more important if people were planning on selling their ideas.

Can't really do this without notifications/inbox, and I'm not sure if I want to add it for one feature. Maybe there could be an RSS feed for each idea/user that is being watched for updates

Make functional settings page

Add api routes to make the settings page functional

Search should display "No results" instead of "Loading ideas" if no results were found

Create ability to bounty idea builds

Allow users to use their reputation to set a bounty on idea builds. Users whose builds are approved can earn the bounty on that idea. Could allow for paid bounties in the future as well.

Don't show private ideas on building and plan_to_build tabs of profile

I think that the best way to do this is to check if the id of the build is private before deciding if you should show it on the public profile page

Optimize backend

Split idea and link links in builds tab

Have title link to the idea, a - that doesn't link, and a url that links to the build. Url could be smaller or substituted for a placeholder like "link" or "build"

Get voting and reputation counting to work

Voting was broken due to reputation changes. Fix this, and get other reputation changing events to change reputation

Empty trash job

After an idea has been in the trash for 30 days, delete it permanently. I think that the way to do this is to create a function that runs every night at midnight to find ideas with deletion dates and delete them if their time is up.

Notification to tell mobile users to add ideaspot to their homescreen.

Load votes on page load

I think that to get this to work, the api would tell the browser that the user is not sending a token, then the browser would request ideas again after the token is refreshed.

Allow users to suggest grammar edits to ideas

Create a script that installs node modules and sets up pip venv automatically.

Get some opinions on what the site needs before deployment

Transfer of ideas

Enable users to trade ownership of their ideas to other users. Could eventually allow the sale of ideas, but that can be negotiated outside of the platform if desired now.

Footer should have donate, about, GitHub/issue tracker

View counter?

Could just have a counter on the idea that says how many times it has been requested, in a list or on a page. Or could send a request once the user scrolls to that point on the screen.

Should have a unique user view count as well.

Builds tab of profile

Tolerate capitalization in usernames

Usernames should be case-insensitive. Apple autocapitalizes input fields, so not implementing this would cause frustration

Enable creation of problems that need idea solutions

Allow users to create problems that they don't have solutions to. Various ideas can be created as solutions to these problems.

Sign in with google

If you go to the link of a private idea, you should get a page that says that the idea is private

Allow users to create teams that are working together to build an idea

I don't think that the dropdown looks good on iOS. It would be better if it looked the same on everything.

Make custom buttons and dropdowns with css so that ios doesn't look so bad
