Avoid gedit's own backup files

Snapopen shouldn't show gedit backup files (*~) as results when searching.

Displays too many files when there is a space in file path

If the folder path contains a space, instead of just searching the local directory, it also searches for other things, it displays files from all over my home directory instead of the project im working on.

Tag for gedit2

Hey, any chance you could tag a version for gedit 2? lots of gnome2 yet to come before 3 takes over completely..

Prefill if gedit has text selection

Snap open opens an empty file

Whenever I try to open a file through snap open, it just opens an empty file with the same title. Does anyone know why this is?

When the project folder have to many files (like image galleries) snap open hangs into gedit for Mac OS leopard. Ignore-folders configuration section is required.

searches files from the last opened gedit root dir

When i open a file in directory abc using gedit and i use snapopen to search it searches files properly from within directory abc.

Now suppose I open one more gedit window to open a file from directory xyz. When i now got to project abc and search using snapopen it searches file only from within directory xyz.

Is there anyway to start searching from the root directory of current window's file browser panel?

I am using gedit 3.2.3. And installed snapopen through latest gedit-gmate package.

As I can't commit changes to your code (unless you provide me an access privilege), I'm just forked your source, and did some small changes, If you like you can view it at this url: http://github.com/mariozaizar/gedit-snapopen-plugin .

What to you think about merge his code to my branch? to got all the fixes for that issues. Also, I have an other plugin that opens files by content text, I hope you like it, and be useful to others:)

Consider using updatedb/locate instead of find

Maybe updatedb/locate tools could be used instead of find, by creating project-filename-caches using updatedb and searching them using locate. Creating small updatedb's takes only a second or so and searching them with locate is VERY fast.

Problem is when to updatedb (maybe using file alteration monitor (fam) service?).
