ipcontrol's Issues

Suddenly not working

I use IPC for two months, working fine. Today working fine too, but suddenly my phone restarted, then when I want to use IPC, it's not working. I already turn off-on, still not working. Already re'install, still not working.

Can you tell me what's wrong and how to fix it?

Thanks

Error while installing on SAR system

Environment:
Umidigi Bison, Android 10.0, system as root, no separate 'system' partition.

Problem:
Installation process ends with "Error occured while mounting /system" message.

Reason:
No wonder, since there's no such partition:
# mount -o remount /system
mount: '/system' not in /proc/mounts

Proposed solutions:

1.Add to 'update-binary' the additional check for the symlink '/dev/block/by-name/system' existence. If found, we can proceed to mounting-remounting procedure as usual. Else just skip it, cause /system directory with all its content is indeed already in it's place.
2. Alternatively check '/dev/block/by-name/super', which can be more precise. Its existence means we have SAR. That's partition, where /system and some other essential directories are placed. Obviously, the further logic must be inverted.

One more thing. Did not understand, if the script considers installing the service both systemlessly and to the real system. I guess it does. But in case of SAR the later is completely senseless, because /system can't be writable by design. Thus, if it was detected and Magisk wasn't, we have to exit with corresponding message.

P.S. Thanks for your work. Used this module with my previous phone and sold it after 2 years with 94% (!) of its battery capacity.

[REMINDER] Update to the new module installer!

Just in case if you are not aware, a completely new Magisk Module Installer replaces the old Magisk module template. This new format decouples ALL installation logic from modules, and encourages developers to use the provided API for installation. This new format is ENFORCED, meaning all existing modules should upgrade ASAP, and new modules are REQUIRED to follow the rules.

Carefully read through the updated docs!

Warning: All existing modules that does not use the new module format will be automatically removed on May 1st, 2019. Module devs: upgrade your existing modules ASAP!

P.S. This issue is just a kind reminder, you can close it after reading this message :)

How to uninstall flashed IPC zip file?

Hello.

I have flashed IPC v3.0.1 zip file through recovery.
After reboot and running ipc --info command as root, it's stopped with output Segmentation fault.

Is there anyway to make it work?
If there isn't, how to uninstall it?

Please help, thanks.

Is it possible to add battery stats reset on reaching charge level?

I don't know if this module is abandoned, but I think its working better than ACC which gives me problems. The only thing i think its missing is reset battery stats when reaching the charge level (etc. 80%). Android normally resets them when charge reaches 90%, causing stats to be a mixture of multiple charging sessions.
Works great on Los19.1 btw! Thanks for your work.
Thanks!
