ichimiginikarasu's Issues

Unique flashcards generated: 0

Hello! So I have been trying to create my own decks from a txt file using ichimiginikarasu, but everytime I run the command to generate the .tex file, the document appears empty (see screenshot below):

image

I even tried to generate the pdf using that .tex file, but the outpus says "No pages of output", because the .tex is empty.

I have placed both my JMdict and kanjidic2.xml inside the resources folder, and running the command:

stack exec ichimiginikarasu-exe -- -f resources/jpn_words_girardi_kelly -j resources/JMdict -k resources/kanjidic2.xml -n mydeck -i ichigo_nihongo_kanji.txt > ichigo1.tex

My input file (the list of kanji i want to generate the cards from) is called ichigo_nihongo_kanji.txt, and it is located in my root folder.

Move radical meaning on reverse to bottom of card

I've really enjoyed using the example decks in this repo.

I wanted to suggest moving the radical meaning on the reverse side of the card to the bottom, so that it is naturally covered by the thumb when the user does not want a "hint" as to the shape of the kanji.

I have other suggestions if the author is interested, for example I think it would be helpful to have a little more information about the example decks in the README. At first I didn't realize that the level numbers go down instead of up, so that I should start at level 10 and not 1...

New JLPT N2

Is there a way to generate the new N2 Kanji into a PDF? You may be aware it changed to 5 levels so the lists have slightly different kanji's in them now.

Kanji meaning

You use 一右二烏 which is "one right, two birds" and your transliteration to ichimiginikarasu means "one right, two crows". Did you mean to use 一石二鳥 issekinichou (one stone, two birds)?

Expat missing

Hey mate, I am trying to build the project, but it seems there is a package missing. Since I am no haskell guy, going trough the error I've installed expat, hexpat packages with the stack commands in order to install them globally, but with no luck.

I was getting this error on all systems I tried (both windows and fedora), before and after installing the said packages.

hexpat > configure
hexpat > Configuring hexpat-0.20.13...
hexpat > Cabal-simple_Z6RU0evB_1.24.2.0_ghc-8.0.2.exe: Missing dependency on a foreign
hexpat > library:
hexpat > * Missing C library: expat
hexpat > This problem can usually be solved by installing the system package that
hexpat > provides this library (you may need the "-dev" version). If the library is
hexpat > already installed but in a non-standard location then you can use the flags
hexpat > --extra-include-dirs= and --extra-lib-dirs= to specify where it is.
Progress 1/2

Any ideas on how can I progress?
Thanks!

Undefined control sequence

I generated my .tex file without error.
Then I ran the following, just like indicated.

xelatex mydeck.tex

This is what I get:

Do this have to do with A4 support ?
