Improve validation for date representation

DateTime representation typed "Date" is validated using regular expression. This implementation accepts non-valid date as 30th of February 2020.

Would it be interesting to add a cast to identify these cases at runtime. For instance:

rule_date_report : match_characters(cast(date_report, date), "^\d{4}-(((0)[0-9])|((1)[0-2]))-([0-2][0-9]|(3)[0-1])$") errorcode "Date format YYYY-MM-DD not valid";

Single transformation script

The process is split into two steps:

  • dereference building an XML file containing a dereferenced Physical Instance
  • ddi2vtl generating text file containing VTL rules

Following the references is not very difficult. So couldn't we have a single transformation script without the dereferencing step?

Support DDI ManagedRepresentation

DDI ManagedRepresentation is a reusable representation.
From one well-identified ManagedRepresentation, it would allow to link it to a specific and complex validation rule.

For instance, the official identifiers for companies in France are called "SIREN". The SIREN number consists of eight digits, plus a check digit to verify the validity of the number (more details about validity calculation here in french.

It would be interesting to be able to support DDI ManagedRepresentation.
