Welcome to the DevOps Bootcamp

Welcome to the DevOps Bootcamp, This bootcamp accompanies an instructor-led session that introduces DevOps concepts and toolchain.

You will use Docker desktop to perform basic setup tasks, including setting up a developer workstation and connecting it to a Git repository. You will create a Jenkins pipeline and become familiar with its features and navigation. Finally you will setup a Kubernetes cluster.

At the end of the bootcamp, attendees should understand the core concepts and tools that are used for DevOps.

  • Setup Developer desktop using Docker
  • Configure Git on the developer desktop and remote commit code to Github
• Lab 2
  • Install Jenkins and configure a pipeline
• Lab 3
  • Install and setup a local Kubernetes cluster using minikube
  • GitOps using Minicube and Argo CD

Initial Setup

• You will need Docker Desktop installed on your computer.
• You can download it from here - https://www.docker.com/products/docker-desktop
• You will need an Github account.
• It is recommended that you use your personal Github account and not an enterprsie account.
