Package sdl was not found in the pkg-config search path

When go get'ting the game, i had this error:

# pkg-config --cflags sdl
Package sdl was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `sdl.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'sdl' found
exit status 1

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 and go1.1.1 linux/amd64

UPDATE

sudo apt-get install libsdl1.2-dev libsdl1.2debian fixed the problem, now getting this one:

# github.com/banthar/Go-SDL/sdl
sdl.go:15:24: fatal error: SDL_image.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
