marlin-mingda-md-d301's Issues

integration to official Marlin

you did all the great work, why didn't you do a PR to merge this to official Marlin ?
It would need less support from your side after that...

Anyway, I just did the full job myself (and unfortunately discovered your repo only after that).
Could you test the commit or compare with your code base ? atsju/Marlin@68d23ab

First many many thanks Marcel! Second MKS plugin crashes printer

Marcel many thanks for creating this firmware. The 25 point autolevelling is spot on! The graphics are great and all together it works nice!
When i enable the MKS plugin and slice my project, the picture is shown in the file explorer of the printer (Rock3Pro). When i confirm to print the printer crashes and reboots.
Thanks

Icons Missing When Flashing Mingda Firmware

When I try to flash back to the Mingda firmware and use the TFT35 folder you provided, I end up with a lot of missing icons. I was unable to get your firmware to compile and use the TFT35 folder instead of assets or the Marlin Color UI.

BL Touch

Hi!

Any chance you have a build or configuration.h that installs the BL Touch for the Mingda D2, D301 board?

Thanks!

Icons / Preview images with Prusa & Super Slicer

How to generate preview & icons via the printer setting in Prusa slicer ?
image

I tried PNG / JPG , and some sizing , but no icons or preview when printing.
Is it possible or is the current firmware not ready for ?

Mingda Magician X

I'm hoping this is the correct firmware to be installing on my Magician X. I will be attempting this today.
Assuming I'm not doing anything groundbreaking (ie if you know of others who have already reported success), would you mind tagging the repository with that additional model?

Thermal Runaway on Rock 3 pro

When printing PLA on E0 200 Ebed: 60 degrees celsius everything prints fine.
When printing PetG on E0 230 Ebed: 75 degrees celsius, it wil give thermal runaway.
I changed the thermistor and did a PID, still thermal runaway.
I changed back to original firmware, everything went fine.

How to change the bootscreen

Hello,

Hoping you could tell me where the bootscreen is living? What size it needs to be and I'm hoping to re-compile the FW with a different bootscreen.

thank you

Firmware upgrade won't start: Mingda D2

Testet with two different SDcards (both known working, one formattet for 4GB and 4096 block size)
Testet renaming firmware.bin
Tried sending M977 from Pronterface over USB (no reaction)

I've testet with the firmware bin and assets you have made available for download, and I also have testet with firmware.bin and assets from building with VSCode/PlatformIO.

Any more ideas?

When I go to "System/About" I get a logo: "3D Printing" and a version number: 223

How to flash Mingda Legacy UI back onto printer?

@marcellodum

How do I flash the Mingda Legacy UI back onto my D2 printer?

After I flashed the D2 firmware and the assets folder from the releases section, I realized that it was not configured for a BL-touch. Then without thinking I went ahead and reflashed the stock firmware.bin on to the printer, which broke the touch screen UI since the LVGL UI assets were still on the printer....

I then used Vscode to recompile the stock firmware as you mentioned,in order to get the Legacy UI assets. But after compiling I am unable to find where the assets folder is located since there are no .bmp files created.

I spent the next 5 hours trying everything I can think of, as well as searching on Google how to solve this issue with no luck. I was able to find a custom version of the stock firmware which had a TFT folder in the source code. The TFT folder contained a bunch of the stock UI icons. But after flashing them onto the printer, only half of the icons were there. Half of them are still missing...

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Mingda D2 G Code entry

On a Mingda D2 when I type in a G Code and press return the screen goes blank and doesn't return.

Thanks for the work on this firmware much better than Mingdas own!
