forty's Issues

Please add support for custom CSS

I'd find it rather useful if I could add some custom CSS. The CSS file you provide is very large and I'd like to change some colors and fonts which I of course can but pushing the changes to a remote Netlify can pull is rather complicated. Sorry for the insanely long sentence.

tel: link

I tried to add another social icon that points to a phone number by creating this block:

[[params.footer.social]]
icon = "fa-mobile"
url= "tel:+46xxxxxxxxx"
label = "Call me!"

When i visit the site, i see the following link instead: http://localhost:1313/#ZgotmplZ

Am i doing something wrong, is this a hugo limitation, or have i misunderstood something?

Thanks

Adding academicons to home page

Hi, let me first thank you for all the good work on implementing this theme !

I would have a question about academicons (http://jpswalsh.github.io/academicons/). I tried to include these icons in the forty theme by placing the /css and the /font folders in the /static folder, and by pointing to the .css file in the custom_css in the config.toml file with custom_css = ["css/academicons.css"], but it does not seem to work...

Instead of the expected icon, it displays a Chinese (?) character... Would you have an idea of what is going wrong ?

Allow templates to work for different content sections (other than 'blogs')

For example, renaming 'blogs' to 'news' in your content folder (with matching changes in the config.toml file) makes the URL 'news/slug' instead of 'blogs/slug'. Hugo could do URL rewriting to the same effect, i think, but this way keeps the site editor experience (where to find markdown files) consistent with the site visitor experience.

It should also make it possible for the two default templates to work for multiple sections, for example a multi-page about section, or to have 'news' as well as 'blogs' or also 'answers' or 'solutions' or anything one can think of.

Missing JS

Hey is there supposed to be a lot of missing local JS files? Missing jquery and some images as well.

Support multi language sites

Hi.

I was wondering how I could use this theme in a multi-language setup? Does the theme support it already?

Thanks in advance.

email address link is stubbed out

In the "Contact" template, the section which lists the email address is stubbed out (i.e., <a href="#">..., requiring the developer using this theme to override the template in order to actually use a (for example) mailto link instead of the stubbed link.

Seems like we should just have a mailto:{{ .email }} link here, instead of the stub.

Changing colors

Hi,

I was wondering if one can change the colors on the homepage.

Thanks in advance, and btw I really love the template!! Amazing work!

Best,
Alexis

Subtitle not showing on mobile

Hey there!

Whenever I render the website on a mobile device, I don't get the subtitle for the site (although I do get it on a PC/Mac)

Could anyone help with this?

Thanks!
Alexis

The site runs fine on my laptop, but does not render correctly on Netlify.

Hi, I am trying to make a landing page for my university club with Hugo + Forty, but when I have Netlify build and deploy the site, it does not render. The build does succeed, it just misses all of the css or something? https://tamuccc.netlify.com is the deploy url.

My repository url is https://github.com/jasikpark/tamuccc

I even deleted my local copy of the site and cloned it from Github, then ran hugo serve -D, and it worked perfectly.

Missing package.json?

I'm having trouble getting forty to run properly with npm install + start; is this due to the lack of a package.json file or is there a way around using this? Many thanks.
