Clarify :ref:

Thanks, this project is very useful. The documentation for references states:

We use::

   :ref:`‹displayed text› <‹label›>`

To reference ``‹label›`` defined in *any* document of the project.
It allows linking across files, while the :ref:`rest way <rest_ref>`
is limited to a location in the same file.

However, the distinction between < and ‹ wasn't clear to me and I had to look at examples to make it work (I used two < the first time). I'm sure there is an easier way to explain this. What do you think about :ref:displayed text ``?
