When booting with several monitors and typing the password, the indicator bullets that should appear for each character only show on one display, and sometimes the wrong one.

This is a bit troubling, but it is even weirder if booting with several displays after setting one to be disabled (for instance if you have a laptop and leave the lid closed), as sometimes the bullet characters would not show at all (maybe they are processed on the screen that is disabled, Idk).

In my opinion, it may be better if the bullet characters showed on each screen.

PS: I love this theme, it's the best I came across! I hope it gets even better!

[Question] Border around avatar picture

I wanted to know, what piece of code is needed for the white border around avatar picture in the default breeze sddm theme? Seems you have removed it in this theme.

Lock screen - make a partial look n feel

Is great to have your theme as a login but... the lock screen still remains and it is rather annoying.

[feature-request] Random backgrounds

It would be cool to have a random background every time SDDM were visited. Not sure how possible this would be within QML though (don't really have much experience with it myself). Perhaps pointing the background setting towards a directory could be used to trigger this behavior.

Minor issue with multiple mixed-resolution displays & multiple desktop enviroments

This is a very minor bug and isn't super important in the slightest, but the desktop switcher only looks correct on the lowest resolution monitor. On the larger resolution monitor, the text looks oddly too large and clips the actual frame with trailing ellipses. This doesn't affect functionality in any way.

The rest of the theme looks absolutely perfect.

Option to add padding between the action buttons

Increasing the font size causes weird look as the action buttons(poweroff, reboot and suspend) comes too close to each other. It would be great if an option to add padding between those could be added.

black screen after installing chill

as title says — i can see only cursor on black screen after installing and applying Your theme. editing etc/sddm.conf and removing chill is a necessity to have desktop back.

Allow choosing the font

Hi there,

first of all thank you so much for this fantastic theme, the last version is especially great given how configurable it is.

I was wondering if the fonts could also be made configurable. From what I can tell, this would mean simply replacing all the hardcoding of Noto Sans with font.family: config.displayFont and then adding the displayFont option in theme.conf.

I tested it out myself on the latest version and it seems to have worked fine (but perhaps the user should be warned not to use non-systemwide fonts)

Font sizing for actions

Currently you can change the font size for the user/password elements but it seems the font for actions (shutdown etc) are not changing with this option, is this intentional?

They're pretty huge on my screen.

Thank you for your work - it is beautiful!
During use, I noticed that there is no way to log in as root.
I'm still trying to figure it out and solve it myself, but since I had not previously worked with qml, I have not done it yet.
I would be grateful for your help in this.

Can't set custom background in v0.5.4

Setting a custom background using System Settings or by editing the theme.conf.user file has no effect and the default background is used instead. Downgrading to 0.5.3 fixes the issue.

env:

Installed using AUR PKGBUILD
sddm: 0.18.0

[BUG] Action buttons don't work

Hello.

I just installed it on Debian Buster (also it is a clean install too), and the action button's won't activate on hover. (No effect, and can't even click on them, so they don't function neither.)
Also I can't navigate to them with the keyboard. (I don't know if keyboard navigation is a feature or not (It should be))
Resolution: 1920x1080
Plasma: 5.12.5
Qt: 5.10.1

I would like to solve this issue, so If you could help me I will appreciate it.
If you need any info about it just ask.

Space between user avatars

Hi!

Thanks for Chili, which I have just discovered and already love.

I especially love the simple and neat layout inherited from Breeze and the possibility to easily customize it.

However, I think there is an issue (or is it a feature that I would like while others wouldn't?):
I would really like to increase my avatar's size because there is text in it. My SDDM displays all the existing users' avatars side-by-side above the password field (and I like it like that). But when I increase the size of the avatars in Chili conf file, the space between the centers of avatar images is not increased, leading to overlapping avatars.

Possible solutions could be:

• a new setting for the user to choose the space between avatars;
• calculating the space between avatars according to their size; or
• keeping a fixed distance between avatars but applying it between borders of the images rather than between their centre.

[Security Issue] Lock account actually don't lock tty

Hi !
First issue i post on GitHub ever, sorry if it's not perfectly described.
I installed this on Ubuntu 18.04 (i know not the best version, but same issue with the other one).
Using Wayland for Ubuntu.
When you want to lock your account (click on the locker), you go to the lock page, but if you change your tty you can find your Wayland session, still opened (so lock page useless because i just need to switch tty to find my session).
For me Lock page is on tty2 and Wayland session on tty3.

Example :
1 - First login account
2 - "Lock" with your locker (or super+L)
3 - Go to tty3 --> session still opened

Unable to change screen resolution

Hi. I'm facing an issue with the Plasma Chili where I'm unable to change my screen resolution. I have a 4K monitor and changing the width and height to 3840 and 2160 doesn't seem to work. I ended up changing both the theme.conf and theme.conf.user and none seems to be working. Using v 0.5.5 on KDE 5.14.5 on Manjaro.

Below is the content of my theme.conf.user file

[General]
ScreenWidth=3840
ScreenHeight=2160

Allow choosing Wayland session

I noticed that the session selection dialog does not show up at the bottom left corner with this theme. Is that intentional?
Just asking because I wanted to test out Plasma on Wayland, but my default session is Plasma on Xorg, so using this theme (which I really like) I cannot switch to Wayland.
According to Main.qml, the SessionButton is there (if that is what is supposed to show that dialog), but I don't see it.
The menu doesn't show up on preview.png either.

Chili only displayed on secondary monitor

Hey,

the login screen is only displayed on what I consider my secondary monitor. I've had similar problems with other software so I believe the reason is the hardcoded output priority of my GPU. What I consider secondary is considered the primary display because it's plugged into DVI, which has a higher priority than HDMI, which is where my primary monitor is plugged into. Long story short: Is there a way to configure chili to be displayed on a certain display? Or maybe just to mirror it across all displays?

Active zone on buttons

When I'm trying hover on restart or shutdown button I need hover on icon.
Click on the word (restart, shurdown) not work. I think text needed placed inside button

Avatars don't support transparency

It would look a bunch nicer to have a transparent avatar, but it seems they aren't supported?

As you can see, my KDE avatar is actually transparent but it doesn't display correctly with chili.

Black screen upon boot

Hey, there! After installing this using the KDE settings app, sddm just shows a black, blank screen with a cursor. I'm using KDE Plasma as my main desktop enviroment, but I also have Budgie desktop installed.

I had to edit /etc/sddm.conf to Current=breeze to be able to boot to KDE Plasma again.

Blur is gone after waking up from suspend

The blur effect is gone from the background image after waking up from suspend.
