reddit-search-on-google's Issues

Google UI change is back and has re-broken reddit search button

I had opened this issue before found here. This issue is now back and is also found on userscripts that use this one as a base.

  1. Example of similar userscript being broken as well by new UI
  2. Example of similar userscript being broken as well by new UI
  3. Example of similar userscript being broken as well by new UI

EDIT: I am using Brave on the latest version.
I am using version 4.18.1 of Tampermonkey.

EDIT v2: I forgot to link this fix from before that DID work, but doesn't seem to now.

Adding other site buttons

Great work! Suggestion: would be great to have options for some other sites like stackoverflow, github, producthunt. Reason being that many a times, when I am searching for a project, code i search on all 3: reddit, stackexchange, github. Right now, I just duplicate tab(assigned a mouse button to do:Ctrl+l+c+t+v+enter) and append the website names.

Or, maybe custom config to trigger X tabs with different "site:website.com". 1 click solution.
Also, I am not familiar with the inner workings of TamperMonkey etc. My query is that would there be any technical roadblocks if this script was made into a separate chrome extension?

Is it possible to add this to other search engines like Startpage?

Startpage serves anonymized and de-personalized google search results. In theory, it shouldn't be difficult to add this to any other search engine like DuckDuckGo. I think all it would take is figuring out which elements need to be added/changed for each site's layouts, which is unfortunately beyond my coding ability.

Being pushed back with Google's new filters

The userscript still works, but it is being pushed back to other pages (as in having to be on images to even see it now i.e. here) On top of that, is it possible to fix this issue by removing the other un-needed filter icons such as News, Shopping, Books, Maps, Flights, ETC? I looked around a bit to find an answer for this before making an issue here, but found no other people talking about it or a way to fix it.

It doesn't even show up on main searches now because of all the new filters I talked about above. Example here

EDIT: There is another post on Greasyfork about the same issue.
