A GUI & Xcode plugin for the distcc distributed compiler using dmucs for compile host management
License: Other
Installed DistCode 2.0
I have 2 macs in the same network (WiFi) and see them both in the Hosts pane (without a name but their IP address).
I've set the compiler to distcc for my project
Compile starts but stops at some point with "Could not get my hostname". The other problem is that it uses only the coordinator machine (reported in a separate issue).
I've set a hostname with sudo scutil --set HostName "somename"
different for the 2 machines
Now no hosts appear in the Hosts.
Removing the host names with sudo scutil --set HostName ""
reverts to the previous state.
Any suggestions?
I build the distcc/distccd, It works with hosts file contains IP, when I tried "+zeroconf" it failed to distribute to the slave. Just want to know does zeroconf work on mac? Thanks
Dear Author:
I downloaded distcode and compiled successfully, but I do not know how to use it.
could you tell me how to confige on multiple macs to accelerate complication.
Thanks
Hi.
I installed DistCode 3.03 and use xcode7.3.
I selected iphone SDK on DistCode GUI and builded iOS project.
But maybe, compiler mode is mac. Building was failed.
Does it support iOS project?
Best Regards.
Is it possible somehow?

Hi Mark, i assume that there would be a way to change how to change the number of jobs that runs in parallel? At the moment it is set to the number of cores on my machine. Please let me know how it's done.
By making use of the distcc compiler in Xcode 6, I've been able to at least see the number of jobs popping around, but unfortunately they're all going to the local machine I'm on -- both through localhost and its public IP address. The other machine doesn't actually get any jobs at all.
Any idea what might be going on here?

Command ./configure failed with exit code 1
How can I fix it? Thanks
