distcode's Issues

Having a hostname set does not show any machines in the Hosts pane

Installed DistCode 2.0
I have 2 macs in the same network (WiFi) and see them both in the Hosts pane (without a name but their IP address).
I've set the compiler to distcc for my project
Compile starts but stops at some point with "Could not get my hostname". The other problem is that it uses only the coordinator machine (reported in a separate issue).
I've set a hostname with sudo scutil --set HostName "somename" different for the 2 machines
Now no hosts appear in the Hosts.
Removing the host names with sudo scutil --set HostName "" reverts to the previous state.

Any suggestions?

Not able to offload task to Host

I am able to see 2 hosts but no offloading happens, at least nothing gets printed in verbose. I have made sure that distcc is the compiler selected in Xcode build settings for the project. Can someone please comment ? Xcode - 8 Swift - 2.3 Distcc - 3.2

Does zeroconf work?

I build the distcc/distccd, It works with hosts file contains IP, when I tried "+zeroconf" it failed to distribute to the slave. Just want to know does zeroconf work on mac? Thanks

How to change the number of parallel tasks?

Hi Mark, i assume that there would be a way to change how to change the number of jobs that runs in parallel? At the moment it is set to the number of cores on my machine. Please let me know how it's done.

Jobs not distributing to other machines

By making use of the distcc compiler in Xcode 6, I've been able to at least see the number of jobs popping around, but unfortunately they're all going to the local machine I'm on -- both through localhost and its public IP address. The other machine doesn't actually get any jobs at all.

Any idea what might be going on here?
