Installation

Windows and macOS binaries are available under Releases

Or install from source:

go get -u github.com/martinlindhe/validyaml

Usage

Exit code will be 0 if file is good.

$ validyaml file.yaml
OK: file.yaml

$ curl http://site.com/file.yaml | validyaml
OK: -

Pretty-print

$ validyaml -p file.yaml

list:
  one: 1
  two: 2

validyaml's Issues

validyaml doesn`t work in Azure DevOps agents

I tried to use it in Azure DevOps pipeline powershell task to validate files in the job, but validyaml always says that it is OK.
Even if youll specify file that doesnt exist at all - it will be OK.

Steps to reproduce:
Run Powershell task in any windows self-hosted or Azure-Pipelines-hosted agent which will call 32\64 bit validyaml.exe for file validating.
