powershell_ise_themes's Introduction

PowerShell_ISE_Themes

A collection of themes for the Windows PowerShell ISE.

How to Use

In the PowerShell ISE, go to Tools -> Options -> Manage Themes -> Import.

Happy scripting! :)

Please Note: These themes only apply for the Scripting Pane area of the ISE, and only for the PowerShell language. The XML language and Console Pane colours are just the default ISE ones. I thought changing the console pane colours would be more annoying than helpful, as if you employed text/background colours etc in your actual script code, the result would look different in the ISE console than if you ran the script in the normal PowerShell console on another machine.

Original Sources

Most of these themes were converted from ones on EclipseColorThemes.org, thanks to this nice little script from "akawhoami".

The "Visual Studio 2013 Dark" theme is thanks to "curi0usJack", and was found here: https://project500.squarespace.com/journal/2015/2/16/vs2013-dark-theme-for-powershell-ise.

The Placidity theme I created myself from scratch, and is my personal favourite. :)

powershell_ise_themes's Issues

Gruvbox please

I know I'm asking a lot, but I would really like one based on Gruvbox. morhetz/gruvbox has the color breakdowns. I've looked at the the ps1xml files and can't seem to make heads or tails of it other the keys should match up with the colors, but they way that MS organizes the XML is making my brain hurt. If anyone has an easy way to convert with appropriate colors, I would really appreciate it.

Error when importing

Hello,

When I imported RecognEyes.StorableColorTheme.ps1xml, I got the following error:

The theme file exists but could not be imported.

<html xmlns="> was not expected.

This was with PowerShell 5.0

image

Doesn't seem to work with PowerShell/ISE 5.0?

When importing - i get the following error?

(Inserting \ below so will show here :))

was not expected.

OK

Any thoughts appreciated!

RecognEyes: collapsed regions appear as black on black

Noticed that XML Tokens \ Text is set to Black.
Set it to dark green, but this didn't change the colour of collapsed regions which still appear as black.
Could you please set them to dark green, or just say me how to do it myself?
