Wait, that isn't visudo

It's enough to not be able to add user to wheel group from Archfi. But the way it edits sudoer isn't according to the wiki and leads to permissions / sudo errors down the road after a few months.
Also editting pacman.conf from the install/updates menu does nothing as of few months ago.

Since I didn't know where to put it, I'm putting it here.
Anyone who's having issues using wiki, use this, and I'll do my best to make sure everyone knows about this.
I been trying for the last 2 weeks using wiki. I've had nothing but the same problem in virtual box, boots only to uefi shell.

With this script, in 30 minutes I had a working os in virtual box.

font-bh-ttf not found.

On may 8th, 2021, font-bh-ttf was moved to AUR -> https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/font-bh-ttf/

So, you can remove it from font list dialog box.

Rootless usage.

The script should be usable if you are not root. sudo archdi work, but I don't want to keep reentering my sudo password once in a while. It was necessary since for my new VM, I don't insert a root password in the ISO's built-in archinstall script, which locks the root account and forces sudo to be usedfor administrative purposes.

Plasma 5 Menu List

The plasma menu list isn't getting updated
So can you please added command "kbuildsycoca5". So this will help rebuild the menu, if the archdi-script is run after reboot

nvidia-390xx moved to AUR

script trying to install nvidia-390xx drivers from pacman and doesnt work.

Add xdg-user-dirs to every single desktop environment.

It could be great to provide xdg-user-dirs (and launch xdg-user-dirs-update) in order to get from start user directories in user session.

Stuck at downloading packages...

The archdi installer got stuck at Downloading packages when I run it.

The user is not added to wheel group

The user created with this script (not root but additional users) is not added to the wheel group as Arch Linux's default document recommends.

install all packages in the end

the best way (imho) to install all the packages at the end of all the selections. I don't think what is too difficult for implement this way.

Add the 'Paru' AUR helper to the list!

Since Paru, created by the co-developer of Yay made a own AUR-helper, I would love to use this one too and see this one on the list.

This helper also has some nice options over Yay like ignoring warning messages from specific packages if you set them 👍

wget: not installed

I'm having trouble installing on a fresh arch installation from the latest boot medium (having used archfi previously). it seems arch does not package wget in with the base system

Cannot log in to user account when starting KDE if the password is longer than 10 characters

I tried to log into the user account I've created via the Users section after installing Arch, then I install KDE in the DE section, reboot, and got into the login screen (example:
I set a password that has 11 characters (both uppercase and lowercase), and typed that password into the password prompt, but I can only type 10 characters, so I cannot log in. Is there someone who have a solution, and if not, how do I replace this login screen for something else that works?

Removal of all flashplugin related packages

You listed both package in internet dialog box. As Flash is dead since January 1st, 2021, why about removing it?

Can't select any options

I tried everything, I simply cannot unasterik or apply an asterisks to any of the options.
I pressed every button on the keyboard, it just doesn't do it.

"autofs" target not found.

Under Install > System > File System, "autofs" target not found.
Reason : It's no longer maintained by pacman, it's moved into AUR.

archdi is dead ? the sucessor is archfi ?

If yes, can you add a message on the readme :
archdi is no longer maintained. We advise you to use archfi.
And archive the depot.
I think it's a good idea to orient new users.

Options to install virtualbox-guest-utils and xf86-video-vmware packages

@MatMoul I regularly using archfi and archdi projects to do Arch Linux install. I truly like your efforts.

I just thought if not very difficult can you add the options to install virtualbox-guest-utils and xf86-video-vmware for the users who are installing Arch Linux on VirtualBox. It will help users have a good resolution in display managers and desktop environments when installed as VirtualBox guests.

Both vivaldi and vivaldi-ffmpeg-codec are on community repository.

So you can remove AUR from both lines in internet dialog box.

After finishing the install, can’t boot into Arch.

Hey, I found your script which made my life easier by not having to spend about 30 minutes reinstalling after breaking my system. But when I tried to use it, I can't boot into arch. My system doesn't detect it.

We should remove it as it is likely not a useful choice.
