dmg-acid2's Issues

Suggestion added failure states.

I ran this test on my emulator, and it actually went haywire for several reasons.

  1. If you trigger coincidence interrupt multiple times in the same LY, this causes very wild flickering. (speed of flickering depends on how often you re-call the interrupt)

  2. If you invert sprite sorting by accident. The hello world message turns british instead.

Might be nice to add to the list of known faulty states?

Example failure states for CGB mode

It'd be nice if a couple of common failure states for running this test in a CGB emulator were covered. This test is still very useful for extending a DMG emulator with CGB functionality when cgb-acid2 still is a long ways from passing.

Suggestion: test for "BG-to-OBJ-to-OBJ" priority

As documented in Pan Docs; it appears no test ROM checks for this. I noticed that from an Emulicious regression, of all things.

My understanding is that it may be questioned whether to add this to acid2, or put it with some more "advanced" tests into a separate "acid3"? (The former should add the ROM revision on-screen, IMO.)
