dtrwebclient's Introduction

Getting Started with Create React App

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App.

Available Scripts

In the project directory, you can run:

npm start

Runs the app in the development mode.
Open http://localhost:3000 to view it in the browser.

The page will reload if you make edits.
You will also see any lint errors in the console.

npm test

Launches the test runner in the interactive watch mode.
See the section about running tests for more information.

npm run build

Builds the app for production to the build folder.
It correctly bundles React in production mode and optimizes the build for the best performance.

The build is minified and the filenames include the hashes.
Your app is ready to be deployed!

See the section about deployment for more information.

npm run eject

Note: this is a one-way operation. Once you eject, you can’t go back!

If you aren’t satisfied with the build tool and configuration choices, you can eject at any time. This command will remove the single build dependency from your project.

Instead, it will copy all the configuration files and the transitive dependencies (webpack, Babel, ESLint, etc) right into your project so you have full control over them. All of the commands except eject will still work, but they will point to the copied scripts so you can tweak them. At this point you’re on your own.

You don’t have to ever use eject. The curated feature set is suitable for small and middle deployments, and you shouldn’t feel obligated to use this feature. However we understand that this tool wouldn’t be useful if you couldn’t customize it when you are ready for it.

dtrwebclient's Issues

Authentication

As a user of Dark Throne Reborn web-app, I want to be able to create an account, log in, and log out so that I can access restricted pages and features.

When I navigate to the Dark Throne Reborn web-app, I see a landing page with options to either log in or create an account.

If I choose to create an account, I am directed to a registration page where I am prompted to provide my email address and password.

After I create an account, I am automatically logged in and taken to the 'Overview' page, where I can see a message thanking me for joining and letting me know that gameplay will be available soon.

If I attempt to visit a restricted page without being logged in, I am redirected to the login page.

Once I am logged in, I remain logged in even if I close the browser and open it again.

From the 'Overview' page, I can access all the features of the web-app that are available to me as an authenticated user. If I want to log out, I can do so by clicking on the 'Logout' button, which logs me out and redirects me back to the login page.

Create Application Spike

As the lead of project DTR. I want to ensure that it gets off to a solid start. To make sure that development is smooth, I want to have an incredibly lightweight application created and deployed to cheap but live infrastructure. Deployment must be fully automated and triggered by Github action.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Fully automated deployment
  • Two separate environments
** Production & Staging based on the Main and Develop branches respectively
  • Protections on branches to force all changes to go through a pull request
  • Documentation detailing the infrastructure and processes
