An iOS7 style UISwitch for iOS < 7

MBSwitch

MBSwitch is an iOS style UISwitch working with iOS < 7
You couls set the 'onTintColor', 'offTintColor' and the 'thumbTintColor' of your choice.
It works with iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, with retina display or not.

Usage

1. Create the MBSwitch with default size 51x31.

   // Will resize if you set the height > 0.65*width MBSwitch *_mbswitch = [[MBSwitch alloc] initWithFrame:CGRectMake(20.0, 129.0, 51.0, 31.0)];

2. Customize the appearance

   // Set the OFF border color [_mbswitch setTintColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.58f green:0.65f blue:0.65f alpha:1.00f]]

   // Set the ON tint color [_mbswitch setOnTintColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.23f green:0.35f blue:0.60f alpha:1.00f]];

   // Set the OFF fill color [_mbswitch setOffTintColor:[UIColor colorWithRed:0.91f green:0.30f blue:0.24f alpha:1.00f]];

   // Set the thumb tint color [_mbswitch setThumbTintColor:[UIColor grayColor]];

3. Add the MBSwitch to your view

   [self.view addSubview:_mbswitch];

Doesn't respond in VoiceOver mode

In Accessibility mode if a VoiceOver mode is turned on, the switch stops responding. We are using MBSwitch in a TableView. Any help will be appreciated.

Credit to DCRoundSwitch?

Looks like a lot of the logic for this was taken from @domesticcatsoftware project https://github.com/domesticcatsoftware/DCRoundSwitch should include a link/credit to that somewhere in the readme

Don't send control events on setOn:Animated:

- (void)setOn:(BOOL)on animated:(BOOL)animated

UISwitch does not send events when this is called, so neither should you.

setFrame: doesn't reflect the width of switch

After loading MBSwitch, I tried to setFrame: to resize the control.
But the width is not changed.

Release tag

Great library. Would you mind adding a 1.0 release tag, that way it can be used via CocoaPods, etc. and it will be easier to keep track of which version we're using if you make updates in future.

Does not compile with ARC enabled

Not really clear what the best approach is to make it work with and without, but would be good to find a solution. Maybe a separate branch for ARC?

Setting switch on destroys animation

I have a switch in a ViewController that I want to present using presentViewController, however the buttons should be turned on by default, so I turn them on in the viewDidLoad method. The problem with that is that in both cases calling

• (void)setOn:(BOOL)on animated:(BOOL)animated

with animated YES or NO, my view controller presentation animation is cancelled because of

}

I would suggest adding an init method that initializes the button to on or off without animation.

onTintColor switching back to old one when switch is on

Im trying to change the onTintColor for the switch, but when I change it and the switch is on the color changes for a second and then go back to the old tint color.
If I move the switch to off and then to on again it gets the new color right

How to add MBSwitch as Bar Button Item

How would one add MBSwitch as or into a Bar Button Item in the navigation bar? I've so far been unable to do this.
