DashScanner

The Dash Scanner is an autonomous greeting-card scanner designed by Matthew Walowski, Jahnvi Dubey, and Joseph Hale for use by American Greetings. The Dash Scanner application is meant to be used in conjunction with the Dash Scanner device to scan a set of cards.

Operation

  1. Load cards onto shelf with barcodes facing up. For best results, align all cards so that the barcode is in the bottom right corner of the shelf.
  2. Open the Dash Scanner application and load phone onto bracket.
  3. Press the "Start Scanning" button on the application.
  4. Plug in the Dash Scanner device
  5. Wait for cards to be scanned.
  6. Unplug the Dash Scanner device and press "Stop Scanning" on the application to see a summary of all that was scanned.
