Module 14: Model-View-Controller (MVC) Challenge - Tech Blog

Description

This application is a CMS-style blog site (similar to a Wordpress site) where developers can publish their blog posts as well as comment on other developers’ posts.

The application uses: MySQL2, Handlebars.js as the templating language, Sequelize as the ORM, and the express-session npm package for authentication.

Installation

To run your own version of the app do the following:

  1. Clone this git repo to your computer
  2. Create a MySQL database in your localhost using the data in the db directory (schema.sql)
  3. Rename .env.EXAMPLE as .env and add your DB credentials
  4. Inside a terminal run npm install to get all the necessary dependencies

Usage

The aplication is deployed at: Tech Blog

To start the app locally, type: npm start on your cosole.
