Map changing does not work

I've been working on this for too many hours and trying different modules, but nothing is working. Even just a map restart if I were to be playing on only gm_construct. Nothing is working. I wish I could give more details as to why it is failing to trigger but sadly I cannot. It just simply wont go.

PlayerSay and PlayerCanSeePlayersChat problems

In the above file, in your PlayerSay override, you call the PlayerCanSeePlayersChat hook and return a boolean.

  1. PlayerCanSeePlayersChat is called after PlayerSay because the PlayerSay hook can modify a player message, the string is then passed to PlayerCanSeePlayersChat. To test this behavior I invite you to test the following code server-side in sandbox:

Those behaviors are issues for addon makers because they're unexpected behaviors since they do not follow the base gamemode function signatures.

Reporting

I've been playing on a vanilla server and their are 3 people working together to time waste. We need a way to either kick or report those players. I've been kicked for being afk because they have timewasted that long. Please try to help us. Thanks!

Convars not saving/applying

Setting the Convars for example mu_scoreboard_show_admins, I have that disabled within my server.cfg so it would look like mu_scoreboard_show_admins 0, which doesn't work. Then i proceeded to do it within the server, logged in with rcon and typed in rcon mu_scoreboard_show_admins 0 which also has no affect.

The murderer rage quit

Hello,
i've a problem when i want to play with my friend. We're two on the server and when we launch the game, in the console there is a lot of : "The murderer rage quit" and we can't play, no clues, no gun, no knife..etc
What is the problem ?

sv_rounds error

Hello,

As of recently I have been running my murder server with no issues. But it came upon me that people were able to go through boxes and On-Map props. I used my game panel to mount CSS onto it. After doing so I restarted my server. Once my Co-Owner and I joined, it kept repeating "Murderer Has Rage Quit" in the chat box, and the console had been spamming this code over and over again. This is the first piece of the error, I can indeed get the rest if needed. Another thing as well, I have completely reinstalled the murder gamemode and replaced the sv_rounds file with the updated version on GitHub. No luck.

Player model glitch

Sometimes players spawn with a animation glitch like they would have a knife in their hand, yet they don't.
This animation glitch creates a lot of confusion and false killings for people who aren't familiar with it.

Can't find a way how to fix it.

Add a License

I'm wondering if you intentionally left out a license, or did not think twice of it, as I would like to know where this project stands copyright-wise.

I recommend using this site to pick one, and if you don't wish to, there is a page describing this situation.

If you've specifically chosen not to include one it would be nice for this to be noted too! :)

PAC3 and 'GetRagdollOwnerOld'

Hello. I am using the latest PAC3 and Murder.

After updating PAC3, I started getting an error.

When I reported this issue to Pac3, they said the bug was most likely Murder gamemode.
Can you please tell me how to fix this?

SoundDuration issues with taunts

sv_taunt.lua uses the SoundDuration function, which has some pretty... unreliable on dedicated servers, especially on Linux.

The end result of this is there's a very very small cooldown which allows players to spam it repeatedly. I'd suggest taking out the SoundDuration and just have it set to some larger constant - it's unfortunate that it doesn't work reliably on servers.

Update Garris mod

Hello, went out today guys, she ruined the full text of the display name, now names the top icons fix? Just wanted to suggest that in ROS left not after the round, and you can specify the time as well and finish the round, but I have not found such function.

Move all text files to new `data_static` folder

Since the last Garry's Mod update, all addons with a data folder inside no longer work because these static files have to be moved to a special (read-only) folder called data_static and should be moved to the root gamemode directory instead of content/data. I've reported this issue to the Garry's Mod developers (https://discord.com/channels/565105920414318602/589120351238225940/1185530854278189106) but it's not a bug and is considered a new behavior. Several gamemodes including Prophunters, Zombie Survival, MelonBomber and Morbus are suffering from the same issue.

Bystander name

I change the names of the players in : sv_bystandername.lua
When someone talks (with the microphone) or in the HUD there in writing Bystander.

Loot props don't have green glow on OS-X

While playing with some friends we noticed that the guy using Windows saw a green glow around loot. The others of the group using OS-X did not see that glow. This makes it very hard to detect what props are actual loot.

Would be nice if there was some kind of glow or color change for loot on OS-X as well.

is this the same addon as in the steam workshop? and does it support maps or do you have to set everything yourself

AFK players are not being moved to spectate

When there are only 2 players on the server that are AFK, the current AFK system does not work. It will not slay and move them to spectate because the current round never ends. It will get stuck on the current round and new players are unable to join the game.

The AFK system needs to be redone so it doesn't only change AFK players to spectate at the end of the round but during the round also. Maybe have a time limit on the rounds as another solution also since players might troll and never kill their friends. The only way this is currently fixed is by an admin coming onto the server and slaying the AFK players.

Force game to start - add bot

Hi is there a way to force the game to start for testing purposes? As I am the only player and it requires more to join to start. I tried the command "bot" to try and add a bot but it said "Failed to create bot".

That gets completely spammed in the console any time someone throws the knife. What do?

Magnum and Knife (sometimes) do not appear.

Problem: ~25% of the time when the murderer or bystander with a secret weapon pull out their weapon, it is not visible in first person. It is not the most urgent thing as the weapons are still usable but it does make the server feel that it is lower quality.

Other stuff: No errors for client or server and screenshots will be provided if requested.

Server settings

In the GMod client, you can add settings that can be edited in the client instead of using convars. Would you guys like me to fork off and add that for you? Pretty easy if you want it.

The knife problem

I just played for a while, and I noticed that when I am a murderer and I switch to the knife, the knife doesn't show up in 1st person, but other player can see the knife. I donno why....

Could you add the ability of every 10 players the will be another murderer and bystander with gun. I have a server with murder and that just sounds like a ton of fun.
