The message dependencies may be a bit tricky to generate btw. If you're current work-around works, you may consider to keep using it.

Do you have / know of an example of this. I've just started looking as you say it seems a bit (lot) tricky.

But you essentially only have to do this once, and then you could distribute the results, as it becomes just another Python package at that point.

Maybe we can postpone this if it is a bit cumbersome, we still have a lot to do for the paper.
