Nothing but errors reading sensor

I'm not having any luck getting this to work. I'm using it with a Wemos D1, which incorporates an ESP-12.

I've tried it virtually unmodified (I did include some uart support to change the baud rate to 115200), using GPIO2 and 0 for SDA and SCK, and the NONOS SDK 2.1. I consistent get "Error" for every read attempt.

I've also tried GPIO4 and 5, which seems to be the default for the ESP-12. The Adafruit drive under Arduino build env works fine on 4 and 5, by the way, so I'm confident in the hookup configuration.

I know it's been a while since you contributed this, but I'm hoping you might have some thoughts on what's going on.
