As the HL2 use the VACs for all audio, the MIC slider has been modified to control the VAC tx gain. The A is to signify that VFOA gain is being adjusted (VAC1). I'm not sure that it all working correctly, as switching to VFOB doesn't bring up B at the MIC slider.

If I understood correctly, A or B only affects DIGU.
However, when DIGU is selected as the mode, panelModeSpecificDigital appears and there is no ptbMic.
But no matter, after all, I'm not a programmer.
