Run last spec does not work for non-rspec tests

When in a cucumber file and using <leader>s the test under cursor is run.

bin/cucumber features/user/change-room.feature:9
Using the default profile...

but when in a code file, and pressing <leader>l I expect the same test to run again

but I get:

So in remembering the last test, it doesn't seem to remember the specrunner used (cucumber instead of rspec)
