Dream PoC Accelerator

Getting Started

DREAM PoC Accelerators (DPoC) are packaged Industry Scenario DREAM Demos with ARM templates (Containing a demo web application, Power BI reports, Synapse resources, AML Notebooks etc.) that can be deployed in a customer’s subscription using the CAPE tool within a matter of few hours. Partners can also deploy DREAM Demos in their own subscriptions using DPoC.

Objective & Intent

With the DPoC solution, partners can also deploy DREAM Demos within their own subscriptions. Partnering with Microsoft sellers, partners can deploy the Iindustry scenario DREAM demos into customer subscriptions. Customers can play, get hands-on experience navigating through the demo environment in their own subscription and demonstrate demo to their own stakeholders.

azure-analytics-and-ai-engagement's Issues

Changes to be made in Before-Starting.md

Hello Team

I request you to please address the following things with respect to "Before-Starting.md" markdown

  • While creating Power BI Streaming dataset, please mention below point at step 4, not at step 5:“Make sure Historic data analysis is enabled. Select Create to proceed”
  • Create Resource Group step is not needed for Demo Champs as resource group is already packaged with the lab environment.
  • While creating Azure Synapse Analytics workspace, in the custom deployment form, password rules and unique suffix rules has to be mentioned clearly else deployment will fail.
  • At Download artifacts step, while launching cloud shell, entire step to create storage account has to be added in the document. PFB screenshot link screenshot your reference:
  • Mention storage account name and file share name to be unique names in the above step.
  • Please remove unnecessary step from Power BI part related to two workspaces.

Pipelines (Customize Campaign Analytics,Customize Decomposition Tree..etc) are getting failed in Synapse workspace

Error Message 1 : Operation on target Clean Social Analytics failed: ErrorCode=AkvAccessDeniedByCallerNotAuthorized,'Type=Microsoft.DataTransfer.Common.Shared.HybridDeliveryException,Message=Caller was not found on any access policy in this key vault, secretName: SQL-USER-ASAEXP, secretVersion: , vaultBaseUrl: https://asaexpkeyvaultkmrshiv.vault.azure.net/. Twitter Real-Time Report Failing

Azure Function is working.

image

Event Hub is in good shape.

image

ASA output is observed.

image

Power BI Output in ASA shows no workspace assigned, but...

image

When listed in Power BI Desktop the dataset shows up in the CDP workspace, with no Owner.

image

Once the config values and keywords for Azure Functions were filled in with twitter developer account credentials it all started to work. Data was visible on the map in Power BI.

image

The disconnected path did not work during QA.

No restriction on unique Suffix

When user enters uniqueSuffix while deploying the ARM template there is no restriction on this field. Since this suffix is appended to the names of all the resources, the template may fail if used enters uniqueSuffix with a special character or a capital letter as storage account names will not accept anything except lower case characters.

Combine Separate ARM Templates

Hi @xor-ranavikrant

Can you merge the twitter ARM template with the primary ARM template? We have to give users a single ARM template to deploy. Otherwise, they will have to go through multiple steps. Please push the changes into the real-time branch.

Thanks

Combine Powershell Scripts

Right now we have two PowerShell scripts the user has to run. Can we combine the two? Any particular reason we keep those separate?

image

Thanks

Hard-coded resourcegroup Name

User will need to use same subscription for sharing the automation with demo personnel, it would be better if we accept the resource group name from user in the script instead of the hardcoded wildcard that we currently have in the core script.( 01-environment-setup.ps1 line number 83)
