azuredatastudio-sqlite's Introduction

Project

This project provides a SQLite connection provider for use in Azure Data Studio tests.

It is currently only for testing purposes - other usage is not supported at this time.

Creating a new Release

To create a new release first update the version in package.json and then create a new Release through Github targeting the main branch. The CD pipeline will automatically run and create the artifacts for that release.

azuredatastudio-sqlite's Issues

1.8.0 release does not contain zips for win32 platform

The latest release 1.8.0 does not contain zips for win32 platform. I tried diffing the 1.8 and 1.7 release and could not find any obvious causes for the missing zips.

Error:
Smoke tests when running on windows platform tries to download the zip from the release which does not exists.

Future Plans?

Hi!

I think this would be a great feature for Azure Data Studio of it could be used with VS Code as well. I mainly use SQL Server Management Studio and would ideally like SQLite support there but if it were to work Azure Data Studio I would definitely start using it (other than quick testing I once did).

  • Can anyone provide info if this will one day turn into a live product that can work with any SQLite Db?
  • If not would this provide a template as starting point on interfaces to implement for SQLite with Azure Data Studio?

MS makes my favorite db tools so I would really like a MS one for SQLite.

Thanks in advance
