Question on POST (/users/batch/profile/settings)

Greetings,

I was wondering what exactly is meant by the Remark: "This is the only fully-qualified Profile URL allowed in . All other Profile APIs from clients are blocked." ? Is there a list of blocked Profile APIs so I don't waste my time looking for an API that may be blocked?

Thank you!!

XDK Wiki: Broken Link, Hard to tell how to download the GDK

The link in the middle of the XDK page for software downloads doesn't work - it links to a broken page. What I hear is that the GDK is the way forward - I feel like the XDK and GDK background could be better explained. I'm not sure how to get the GDK and am asking support how to get this, but I think the documentation should be sufficient. The GDK downloads page also doesn't list anything if you don't have access, which also seems like a bug.

Steps for "Creating Test Accounts" need to be updated.

Please can you update as the steps for creating test accounts has changed. It is now:
Go to Partner Center.
Click on the gear icon at the top right to go to account Settings.
Click Developer settings.
On the Settings panel to the left, open the Xbox Live collapsible menu item and click Xbox test accounts.

An update to the screenshot would also be fab.
Thanks!

Xbox Live Services not throwing useful messages

I am attempting to develop a UWP game under the Creators Program for PC/Xbox and using the XboxLiveServices to store game data.

When I run locally, I don't see any issues, but when I attempt to submit to the store, the game runs fine except for relaunch and getting the user game data...every time it seems. Since I cannot get someone to provide me the log file when running in certification, I put a display of the general exception catch and this is what they are experiencing during certification...

"The UTC time represented when the offset is applied must be between year 0 and 10,000, Parameter name: offset"

So this looks like there MIGHT be a throttling issue and some layer of the internal XboxLive services API is not processing something correctly. But it contains no information that leads me to what I need to change.

I have two questions.

How do I debug something going wrong with the API that is not documented, not providing useful information and is not reproduceable during development or testing?

Why are the XboxLive services not throwing useful errors, and those errors documented so we can catch and/or prevent such issues...even going as far as to be able to write unit tests to simulate known error conditions? Or are they documented and only available for ID@XBOX level games?

Please help, as I have been trying to get this published for over a year.

Thank you,
T.J. Mullen

[Android] Implementation for 64bit not mention here?

[Enter feedback here]

Greetings,

I'm not sure it is right place to post the issue.

I plan to add XBox Live to my app. After reading this document, I wonder the part of 64bit architecture support. Seem it doesn't mention here.
As Google require, we need to add 64bit support for the app - more information can find in the blog

Regards,
Hai

a consultants/birdseye view

[Enter feedback here This is an interesting and bright introduction in to the world of XB1 coding. In don't know how far down this rabbit hole i dare to tread, but with some previous positive encounters with Github, not to mention massive engagements with Skyrim, GTA5 and Fallout 4, all of which led to completion, i am optimistic that i will be able to somehow positively engage with this content, even if it is only from a consultants/birdseye view! john 2054]

The C# Example doesn't work

I installed the SDK "Microsoft.Xbox.Live.SDK.WinRT.UWP" in a UWP project, but the XboxLiveUser class is not available in C#.
It seems that the WinRT NuGet package is only usable in C++ projects but not in C# projects. But the docs don't mean this. Should the documents be updated?

Another relevant document page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/gaming/xbox-live/get-started-with-creators/develop-creators-title-with-visual-studio
“... whereas the WinRT SDK is for game engines written with C++, C#, or JavaScript.”

Looks like this page might be out of date?

-The Windows section is now Windows & Xbox section (or so I'm assuming?)
-"Create a new app" button is now "Create a new..." which gives you several options
-I assume you create a game, but I'm not sure what the difference is between the game and game demo options
-Many of the following screens do not match up with what is shown on this page, including the Submission # page. Instead, after creating the app/game/demo, you are taken to a Game Setup page.

Fragmentation of Docs

[Enter feedback here]
Copy and paste the first block of code into Visual Studio and see if it compiles. How am I supposed to know what type of object 'state' is? How am I supposed to know how to create it? One cohesive piece of sample code that works is preferable over something that is fragmented that doesn't work and I have to go looking all over the place to identify the missing pieces.

Broken link to Service Interruption Resiliency for Titles whitepaper

This sentence looks like it should link to another document, but it's just text, there's no actual link to follow:

"For more information about service resiliency for Xbox One titles, including required HTTP retry and back-off logic, as well as user-interaction guidance for individual services, see Service Interruption Resiliency for Titles."

This is some pretty important info about how to meet the XR properly, so the linked document should definitely be available from this page. A web search for the "Service Interruption Resiliency for Titles" only shows this page, so it looks like the document isn't publicly available anywhere.

I looked up this XR in the Xbox One docs and the link works there, so this isn't blocking me, but it should be fixed up for developers who don't have access to that.
