Write Only Text

Distraction free: write only text. Backspace, copy and clear allowed. Will tell start, end and word count for session.

Features

• Typing only appends to the end of the string.
• There is no editing, with one exception: backspace is permitted.
• Text is saved to localStorage, for convenience.

TODO

• Add friction when the "Clear" button is clicked.
• Keep a timer.

Bug: Diacritics break word count

Noticed when using Romanian diacritics. There's very likely a better way to count words.

e.g. "Înalta Bibliotecă a Gândului Uman" is incorrectly counted as 6 words, when it's actually 5. (Note: Counted correctly in Obsidian.)

Themes

Our environment influences our work.

Different kinds of intentions require a different kind of setup. I've originally added the Mauve theme to emulate my Mauve notebook (a physical notebook in which I write using a purple-ish pen instead of blue, whenever I feel like it).

What other themes would be worthwhile? e.g. when you're working on your Merfolk book, to have a specific background that evokes that universe
