Support for old phones such as GT-S5660

Is it possible to add support for old phones like the GT-S5660 with its strange Audio Method?

PS. Thanks a bunch for releasing Spirit under a Free Software License. I only came to know this huge project when it appeared in F-Droid. Therefore this move can, after all, get you some new costumers. Good luck!

Missing includes?

Why many files are missing includes and definitions?
I've downloaded, runned ndk-build and tried to build in android studio with no success.

My android phone had rooted, but runned this app logged this error.How can i fix this problem?

Unsupported device

I get the message "unsupported device error" on starting the app on nexus 5.

Missing includes?

Sorry if this is a noob question, but I am trying to build this app, but am missing includes from jni/bt-hci.c :

Where can they be found?

__system_property_get is deprecated

__system_property_get has been removed in Android L, I've seen the following workarounds:

• run 'getprop' using 'popen': https://stackoverflow.com/questions/26722040/replacement-for-system-property-get-in-android-l-ndk
• creating a stub __system_property_get, which uses dlsym to dynamically load the address of the real __system_property_get symbol in libc.so (which is still available as a hidden symbol on the devices libc.so dispite having been removed from the NDK) https://src.chromium.org/viewvc/chrome/trunk/src/base/sys_info_android.cc?r1=284012&r2=284011&pathrev=284012

Can't use speaker, only headphones for audio output

Hi, thanks so much for this great app!! I'm using the official CyanogenMod 13 Nightlies on a Samsung I9300 and I downloaded SpiritF (version 2015_04_14) with F-Droid.

I'm not able to use the speakers for audio output. I guess the symbol on the top of the screen is used to switch the output device – in my case the symbol changes when I touch it, but nothing changes for audio output. I also tried to set "Speaker" as audio output device in audio settings but without any luck.

Please tell me if you need more information.

Superuser request not in android manifest

I get a message from my superuser app, that the superuser request permission isn't listed in the android manifest.

[SGS2] Stays on Starting... forever and plays microphone

When I open SpiritF it stays on the "SpiritF Starting..." screen forever. If I touch somewhere else on the screen it dismisses the starting... message but continues without playing. When press stop (square button) followed by play/pause repeatedly it sometimes starts and shows me the frequency value on the screen. However, on the headphones what I hear is my environment through the phone's microphone. Still, most of the times, when I press the stop/play/pause buttons repeatedly, the phone crashes and reboots.

I could spot nothing of interest on logcat. Though, if you pass me an adequate filter (there is too much output), maybe I can post a useful debug log here.

This happens on a Samsung Galaxy S II (GT-i9100) running Replicant 4.2 (based on CM10.1, Android 4.2.2) with the lastest apk from F-Droid (2015_01_17_beta).

Spirit1 Light works like a charm here.

transmit radio

Hi. Is it possible to TRANSMIT radio? For example, bcm4334 has a built-in radio tranwmitter (but it needs a separate antenna, i am not sure that it is connected, but if not, it can be connected :) Have you tried this? Do you know anything about it?

Permissions reduction

1 The app determines the mode using the data about sim-card and mobile network. Why not to just ask about it, it will eliminate mobile network-related permissions from manifest.
2 the piece needing access to network state is commented out, but the permissions for it aren't.
