SHERPA Flatpak Manifest

This is a Flatpak manifest for SHERPA, the internal management tool of the German Green party. It allows running the app in a safe, containerized environment across any Linux distribution. For externals it is of limited use.

Installation

There is currently no available package to be pulled and installed from remote (i.e. from Flathub). However, with this manifest it can be built installed locally.

Prerequisites

flatpak-builder is required to be installed on the local system. On most Linux distributions it can be installed using the native package manager. See also the Documentation for more infos on first steps.

Build and install

First, download the SHERPA client from the internal website and extract the files from sherpa-client-xxx into ./sherpa-client/.

The following command will build the flatpak and install it in the current user’s environment:

flatpak-builder build-dir de.gruene.sherpa.Sherpa.yaml --force-clean --install --user

Run

The app should be automatically detected by the operating system and ready to launch from whatever start menu is used.

To run the app from the command execute the following:

flatpak run de.gruene.sherpa.Sherpa
