Failling to compile buildroot

Hello, I'm trying to compile buildroot on Ubuntu and I have this following error message after running make

re-running the script allowed me to download this file.

Can we set default permissions to 777 for everything in MAIN?

I just booted up linux to copy over some games directly, and noticed that I didn't have permissions to write to the roms folder. It was easy enough to fix (sudo chmod -R 777 roms), but I think we should just make that the default.

Can't build sdk, duplicate patch file error

On a fresh Ubuntu installation (VB) I run:

sudo apt install git gcc build-essential libsdl2-dev libopenmpt-modplug-dev libsdl2-mixer-dev libminizip-dev bison make python
git clone https://github.com/MiyooCFW/buildroot.git
cd buildroot
make sdk

After a considerable amount of time I get:

Did I miss a step?

[JOYMAP/musl] build broken - stderr: short write

The musl fix patch is building output binary but the app works only for a little period when launching loadmap <map_name> before crashing, so it can't remap joykeys correctly.

We could try to use snapshot from https://github.com/ThomasDickey/dialog-snapshots with t20230209 or use a workaround actions/runner-images#2577 (comment)

[BTRFS] Regression on Video recording performance with `ffmpeg`

Low system responsinvness, seen even in GMenu2X after launching VIDEO record. It wasn't perfect previously but was at least functional.
