Ruby on Rails web application for creating Posts with texts and images

README

A web application written with Ruby on Rails. In this web app, the registered user can create posts (like medium). The post will be seen by the public.

This README would normally document whatever steps are necessary to get the application up and running.

Things you may want to cover:

• Ruby version - 2.6.3

• Rails version - 6.0.3

• System dependencies sass-rails - ~> 5.0

• Configuration bundle install

• Database creation Currently, SQLite3.

• Database initialization rails db:migrate

• How to run the test suite

• Services (job queues, cache servers, search engines, etc.) redis cache server

• Deployment instructions rails server

• Other Bootstrap, Stimulus_reflex, Sortable.js

Add the Popular section with top three most popular published post on the home page

current home page,
published posts are shown in the published date.

above that recently published post section,
add the Popular published section.
get the top three published posts with the highest upvote.

Test cases need.

Currently, there is no test case which is not good.

Add the link to the user's published posts page in the post details and home page

currently, to go a user A's published posts page,
we need to type '/members/:username' in the URL.

so, add the link to the username(or)email on the post details page and home page
so that one does not need to type manually.

Add the username to the devise user account

Currently, the user model has only email.

I want to do

1. from the home page (localhost:3000), someone clicks the user name. -> mixture of published posts of all users
2. the next page is about the posts of that user. (localhost:3000/user_name). -> published posts of certain user

Add new page for published posts of a single user

Prepare to run on Heroku

The web app should be able to run on the Heroku cloud platform.

Add author email on the post on the home page

currently, no author information is shown in the post on the home page.
add author email.

Change to Postgresql

Currently, the database is default SQLite.
Need to change to Postgresql so that it is ready for production.
