Latest No-Intro Sets, and latest No-Intro DATs drom datomatic are not functioning as I would expect in 1G1R mode. Some examples:
NES -
Star Wars: Keeps both USA and Japan roms.
Rampart: Keeps both USA and Japan roms.
I thought the issue may have been that some of these contain publisher information in the file name, but Star Wars does not. There are a few more examples I can pull if you need them.
GBA -
A 'Compilations' folder is created but not all compilation games are sorted to the folder. Some random examples:
2 Games in 1 - Dr. Mario + Puzzle League (Europe) (En,Fr,De,Es,It)
2 Games in One! - Paperboy + Rampage (USA)
3 Game Pack! - Mouse Trap + Simon + Operation (USA)
3 Games in One - Darts + Roll-a-Ball + Shuffle Bowl (USA)
Also same issue as NES above where duplicates are being kept:
3 Games in One - Darts + Roll-a-Ball + Shuffle Bowl (Europe)
3 Games in One - Darts + Roll-a-Ball + Shuffle Bowl (USA)
The Europe version should not exist here. I'm using default settings, is there something I'm doing wrong? I'm really struggling with an appropriate 1G1R process, and I think your utility has the best chance.
I get 2 issues when using this program.
The first is when saving a configuration:
"An error has occurred: Failed to save region settings. Reasons:"
When attempting to do an audit I get an error about "DAT header mismatch". Could someone explain the meaning of this error? Does the DAT or archive need to be named in a particular way?
Chrome and firefox are reporting that v1.2.1 is a dangerous file and blocks the download. v1.2 downloads successfully.
I downloaded a No-Intro headered NES romset and a P/C XML headered DAT file from DAT-O-Matic but the audit says all the files in the system folder do not have a matching entry in the provided DAT file.
Then, I try with a headerLESS DAT file and the audit only a handful of roms do not have a matching entry.
At this point I calculate the md5 of a rom and look for it in the headered DAT file and it's in there. I look for it in the headerLESS DAT file and it's not, so the rom is HEADERED and it has a matching entry in the HEADERED DAT file but the audit fails.
Any idea what's happening?
Hi, I am using ezro to clean up roms and it cannot handle more than one duplicate.
When auditing games, for each duplicate found it chooses the same name with a (1) in the name which then fails. It does not count up the duplicate numbers.
Version: 1.11
Is there a file that can be modified to categorize files with (Aftermarket) or (Homebrew) in the filename as [Unlicensed] ? These are very common in NoIntro sets.
(Program) is another common filename, it would be nice if files with (Program) were organized into their own subfolder similar to [Unlicensed].
I downloaded a No-Intro P/C XML DAT file from DAT-O-Matic for the PC Engine-TurboGrafx 16 but it says header is mismatched and likely an incorrect DAT File...
DAT files from other consoles are working fine just not this one, any ideas?
When selecting "Do Not Create Folder For Primary Region", my rather than moving Europe roms to their own folder like the program states it will, they are kept in the root directory with the primary region. Same for World roms. The way I have found to fix this is to select World and Europe as Secondary regions. I'm not sure if this is working as intended or not, but the description of "Do Not Create Folder For Primary Region" makes it sound like it will only keep roms from my top region in the root.
Hello Mips,
This project looks cool and I'm trying to run it but I'm hitting some stumbling blocks.
I'm on a fresh python install and I've "pip installed" 'pygubu' but now I can't find where 'Libraries.ttkScrollableNotebook' (main.py line 15) is supposed to come from.
It would be nice to have a section in the README that lists which additional modules or library files the program needs to run.
Thanks,
Looking forward to trying your app.
On my Everdrive I cannot display all the game folders (containing each rom revision) unless they are sorted into small, more manageable directories. Would it be possible to add an option to move directories of each game into alphabetical folders or something similar? For example:
NES/A/Abadox/Abadox (USA).nes, Abadox (Japan).nes
Thank you for all the hard work by the way! This is by far my favorite rom organization software aside from a few minor issues!
After selecting "Extract Compressed Roms" the .7z compressed roms from my NES are not being extracted when exported.
