This is the WebDisplays mod for Minecraft 1.12.2. I don't have time to maintain it anymore, so I changed the license recently and anybody is welcome to create forks and/or re-distribute it. For more info see LICENSE.

No render or video playing

Yeah, its as the title suggests, Web screen blocks are transparent and an error pops up in chat saying.

"CCL Caught an exception rending a block. See the log for info"

Sorry for not providing more info, you can ask away and i can provide you with whatever you need. I Am currently running the latest version of the mod as well as forge and MCEF for 1.12.2

[1.12.2 / 1.0] players see different pages in the browser

the bug happens when I try to put a video on youtube, the players don't see the same screen, different videos appear, as if they were different versions of the page, with different recommendations in the feed, as if they were 2 separate pc

Disable welcome message

Is there a way to disable this welcome message on first join?

Sound levels

This is more of a request then an actual issue.

I like the idea there is an option to have the volume lower as you get further away from the screen but how about an option to change the distance? Forgive me that i didn't actual get the actual distance in this video but if you watch it you see what i mean when it's weird hearing the video outside of a theater.

I am aware there is the sound muffler from Extra Utilities 2 and two other mods that mute sounds but neither one works.

Sync [suggestion]

So, my suggestion is simple (or maybe not):
Make a sync between players, so everyone could've see same youtube recommendations, etc. I've drown a principle of operation

WebScreen block has no texture.

@montoyo The WebScreen block has no texture, but the functionality for the Internet still works and other WebScreen block textures aren't corrupted. I have proof, (see attached image). I have Flans Mod and all of Flans block textures are corrupted. So are they just corrupting eachother, or it's just a general bug that Flans made?? Let me know at my email, [email protected], or just generally respond.

Not a issue but a suggestion about the synchronize (Maybe this is useless for you)

i just think one of the way that you can synchronize the Webdisplay
You can make every Webdisplay has it owns "synchronizer"
And you can stream every screens (maybe you already think about it if you already knew this then sorry i am being stupid)
However, this may make some server lag (or super lag?)
So you can make this feature optional which you can make it enabled or disabled by user (you can make this feature default is false)
Maybe someone may have a better suggestion about the synchronize during using this mod or you can find a better suggestion during the development

About the bandwidth problem maybe you can find a way to limit the bandwidth per webdisplay screen

(Maybe you can make 2 more option that we can modify by our users:
limited the bandwidth feature : default is true
and the bandwidth limited value: default is up to you)

YouTube streaming not working

When I tried to stream myself watching a stream of me playing Minecraft with your mod, It said file not supported or something like that on YouTube. Can you add compatibility to support YT streaming. Thanks.

As everyone knows by now Thaumcraft is making a comeback but its comeback is at 1.10.2

Would it be possible for webdisplays be to released for 1.10.2 at all?

When I turn on the display screen it turns on but white, my friend can see it but I can't!
I copied her minecraft folder over to mine and it still didn't work! We are both running Windows 10.

When I try to go to websites it is also white! But for her it loads the websites.

Can"t watch Livestreams on Youtube (also a few videos aren"t ) and i can"t watch Livestreams on twitch.

And why. I have heard that is is because of the "flash player "

Yep, I am having the same issue. Only a white screen appears. I have read from another post that you said it could be a firewall issue... But I really have no idea if it even is a firewall issue for me. Info is Below.

Will the older versions of Web Displays continue to work like normal after support ends for them? (1.7.10)

I understand that this forum is specifically for the newer versions of Web Displays and I've never experienced any real issues with this mod, but I was just wondering. After the support has ended for Web Displays 1.7.10 version, will I still be able to continue and use the web screen like normal? Or will it stop working, as in not being able to turn on and browse the internet anymore because it is no longer being supported? (To be honest, I'm not sure if support has already ended for it or not, I haven't had internet in months). I was just wondering this because 1.7.10 (single player) is literally all I play and I only ever use this mod to watch YouTube videos. I understand after support has ended, current bugs present in the 1.7.10 version will no longer be fixed, and I don't mind that. But I was wondering if the actual web screen will still continue to turn on and work like it always had done in the past.

Other people on the server I play on can see what's on the screen, but it's just white for me.
Disabling my firewall didn't work.

No sound, except video sound from WebScreen.

Again, I experience a very bad case with WebScreen and Flans. (i think) I get on Minecraft, Nothing in Minecraft is sounding, I checked the Master Volume and it's at 100%. Flans and WebScreen are possibly enemies.

Hey, I've tried watching Interstellar with friends, but when I'm heading to my webserver with .mp4 onboard, the screen stays white, and theres no sound or videos
Steps to reproduce:
1.Make a screen
2.Go to http://minecraft.itsk1tty.me/Interstellar.mp4 (it's russian)
3.Try to watch it.
Also, it's 1.12.2, mcef is 0.9, wd is 1.0
there's no crash, so there's no crashlogs

[1.10.2] Localization problem

You used resource format 3 for localization in 1.10.2, when you should use format 2 - in result it makes your localization not appear at all (In format 2 you should capitalize files in format "en_US.lang"(Format 2) and not "en_us.lang"(Format 3))

Crashing while using WildNature mod

I'm_ currently getting a Tesselating block model error upon placing the Web Screen block (none of the other blocks cause the crash) with WildNature mod installed

steps to reproduce:
install wildnature-1.2, webdisplays-1.12.2-1.1 and mcef-1.12.2-1.11
create a new world, give yourself the Web Screen block, place it in the world and the game will crash

Strange graphical error

I just noticed this today. I am unaware of what is causing it, and I don't seem to remember it occurring anytime in the past.

H.264 Videos don't seem to work

Tried watching several H.264 HTML-5 videos but none seem to be loading. Sounds like CEF has to be compiled with proprietary codecs enabled for H.264 to work.. Not sure if that's something you can do or not.

Increase max view distance

Increasing the maximum screen distance to more than 64 blocks can lead to serious de-sync issues. Gotta fix this!

Video won't autoplay

I am trying to use this mod to create a movie theater for my private modpack server. I am running into issues with the screen autoplaying using the html 5 video tag with the autoplay attribute. Testing the page in my browser autoplays the video fine, but it does not autoplay in the mod.
I also tried using the javascript plugin https://videojs.com/, and it provided me with the error NotAllowedError: play() failed because the user didn't interact with the document first. https://goo.gl/xX8pDD

Feature add or possible fork

My name is Vincent I am trying to setup a custom instance if Minecraft witch requires you to use a website that needs full access to the keyboard including function keys and number pad keys if there is a way to add it as a configuration option or fork it from the main code and add that feature for IBM 3270 Virtel teminal emulation software that would be great I’m trying to make a server that will help teachers and students teach and learn about the mainframe and it’s going wonderfully accept the fact that the web displays mod will not forward the F Keys or the num pad enter key witch are required at a minimum so let me know what we can do

[Request] Server Side Streaming

Not too sure if it's possible at all but I'd love this mod to be able to stream the content from a server.

I've had the idea for hosting a Movie Night within Minecraft but this wouldn't work if someone was to leave and rejoin as they'd then be out of sync with everyone else. I'm not worried about power or bandwidth as I've got some fairly powerful servers that could host this.

Having to close java in task manager to get server to work

My friend runs a modded server using technic on 1.7.10. One issue we have is we can’t load up the mod pack without closing java in task manager otherwise it won’t run. It takes too much time and it causes many issues for the players. How do I fix this?

Audio continues after screen is broken

Problem: Audio continues after screen broken with no way to stop audio except shutting down Minecraft

Environment: MCEF 0.9, WebDisplays 1.0, Minecraft 1.12.2, Windows 10, Forge 14.23.2.2613

Steps to reproduce:

Break a screen block

Audio still plays after screen destroyed

minecraft 1.7.10 Fullscreen

in the 1.7.10 mc version, the fullscreen is not on all videos.

Nothing shows up, only a white screen.

I have the lastest Forge and the lastest version of the mod installed. When i try to open any webpage, the screen stays white, nothing is displayed. I use a Windows 8.1 PC.
I read that it may be a MCEF bug, but, what exactly might be it..?

Where is the config?

I am trying to increase the maximum size of the screens, but I can't seem to find a config file anywhere on my server or client. Alternatively is there a way for admin to override the maximum size when in creative mode?

mcef-1.12.2-0.9 needs to be updated to forge-14.23.5.2838

Audio doesn't work at all

After trying your mod a little, i've noticed audio doesn't work for me. Videos work just fine its just I can't hear anything. Using Windows 10 and Java 8, Version 161. I've tried multiple forge versions. Latest version of 1.12.2 and 1.10.2 and Forge 2611 1.12.2. Everything works perfectly except audio.

Can you do this as Spotify, Youtube, Google play music and others are not supported with version 51 because they properly use html5

Optifine lightning problem

Hi!
I really like this mod, but I have a problem: every type of shader I use in optifine turn the screen into black.
Unfortunately, since it doesn't crash the game, I don't have any log that might be useful.
Are you aware of this issue? Do I have to turn off shaders?

Game crashes on certain map whenever I place web display block

I have a map that I tried testing the mod and as soon as I place it down the game crashes other maps it works perfectly but here is the error I am getting.:
