fsharpdata's Issues

[Question] Wrapping only return with async?

I'm a bit surprised to see how you wrap the async CE around your queries.
Especially lines 24-26 in QuestionRepository.fs are striking my curiosity. Does it make sense to leave lines 17-22 out of the async CE? Which is the effect of doing that?

A second different question: e.g in the same file QuestionRepository.fs you don't have truly async primitives inside your async methods, for example you have toList but not toListAsync. See this answer. I tend to think that using truly async primitives is the proper way to implement async functions.

Finally, a third last question: why don't you reengineer and move your code from the old and heavy EF to the smart and light linq2db, one of my favorite sql lib? Or - for F# - SqlProvider that is unleashing the power of type providers.
