mtconnecttranspiler's Introduction

Publish NuGet Package

MtconnectTranspiler

This is an open source project focused on deserializing the SysML model for MTConnect®. The normative XMI provides a structure for the MTConnect® standard. One of the goals of this project is to leverage this structure to automate the development of other MTConnect®-related tools. For example, the structure and validation in the MtconnectCore project.

Documentation

Any documentation surrounding MTConnect® can be found on the MTCup site (MTConnect User Portal).

Any technical documentation surrounding MTConnect® can be found on the MTConnect® Model Browser generated from the SysML model.

Contributors

Anyone looking to help is welcome to. If you're looking for open items, take a look at the Issues board or the Project board.

Additionally, contributors are invited to join the MTConnect Standards Committee and participate in the frequent MTConnect Validation Working Group where we discuss work relavent to tools like the MtconnectCore project.

mtconnecttranspiler's Issues

Implement CI in transpiler

Once CI is configured on the SysML model (see mtconnect_sysml_model repo), then the XmiTranspiler should have an option to pull down the latest release of the model.

This should be accomplished using GitHub's download API:

https://github.com/{owner}/{repository}/releases/download/{version}/name_of_asset

Example:
https://github.com/mtconnect/mtconnect_sysml_model/releases/download/v1.5/Model.xml

This will also require that the XMI document for the SysML model be included in the release package in a consistent manner for each release.

Access to Property Multiplicity

I have started to implement this project to generate c# classes and so far it has worked great. The main issue I have run into is accessing the multiplicity of a property. I don't see it in the Xmi classes and I don't really even see where it is located in the raw SysML XMI file (although I'm sure it's in there somewhere).

My temporary solution is to create a manual list to determine if a property is an array and also if it is required/optional.

My question is, is the Multiplicity something that is directly pulled from the SysML XMI file? Or is this something that is derived from other properties?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Patrick
