gnome-appfolders-manager's Issues

Hardcoded icons

The application won't show an icon if the application has a hardcoded icon path, for example Viber or Slack

Crash when not run as root

I have no idea what's wrong with that. My system is Arch Linux, package installed from AUR (tried both, stable and -git version). For the first time when I launched it just after install, it worked, but after closing app it doesn't seem like it's going to work. It's crashes without any output to console. Here is the trace:

Screenshot in the README

You should add at least one screenshot to the README file. A good screenshot greatly increases the chance of someone using your program. You can add the screenshot via this method. I personally used the first line (relative path with ?raw=true parameter) in my repo so I recommend that way.

Can't add App Folder

I'm using Gnome-Shell 3.20 with Arch Linux and I can seem to add any app folders. I can create them in Appfolders Manager but when I quit the program nothing has changed, no apps have been moved to any folders.

Doubles remover

Some time ago I've organized all my apps into folders (through your app of course).
After that I switched to another DE ("Unity" if this maybe important).
And after half year and several package upgrades i switched back and now I see all my folders I've created and all my apps in big common list.
Now i dreaming about some service function to find and remove all that doubled app links.

save entire configuration

Hello,
I have multiple computers I configure exactly the same. It would be great to be able to save and restore the whole configuration (folders and applications sorting), so I don't have to do it manually on every computer, because it is very time consuming.
Would it e possible to add such a feature?
Nevertheless, thanks for your work, you software is a real must have!

Invalid instalation

Hi ,

I'm using Debian 8.6 + GNOME 3.14
Installation abortes at each time with message:

running install
running build
running build_py
error: package directory 'gnome_appfolders_manager' does not exist

An option to remove from searching lists already added apps

For example I've created folder "Tools", pressed "+" then found and added all my tools into that folder.
After that I've created folder "Games", pressed "+" and what I'm seeing?
Right, all the tools I've already added.
So, I need an option which removes all already added apps from searching lists.
The option because in some rare situation some apps required to be added to several folders.

Huge blank sidebars small icons and text

Hello ever since installing this extension, my apps launcher has gigantic, blank side bars (where you can apparently drag to create new folder). It has made all the icons squished to the middle third of the screen, and the text is now so small that you can only read the first few letters.

The worst part is this persists even after removing the extension. The first time I removed it, the apps went back to normal, but now it has persisted even after removing. Please help!

Multiple remove/add

I think adding a checkbox so the user can remove/add more than one desktop file would be cool :) i know that you can click on CTRL + click to select more than one application, but having it as for the rest of Gnome apps would be nice.
