budgie's Issues

How does the distribution work?

I am very curious about the distribution. I want to implement this method to my go engine on the further work. But I do not quite understand this work. Seem that all clients send computation result to server and get full tree from server. I have some questions about this design.

Does it suffer the internet restrict?
How many playouts every iteration (each iteration the client will send the result once)?
How to deal with multiple clients search the same sub tree?
How to balance each client computation speed?
Is the distribution significantly strong than normal?

Thanks.

Weird pass behaviour

Hello,

I have been playing some games against budgie on OGS for a while now and have noticed that it will accept losing passes. What I mean by this is that if the human plays white, places a single stone anywhere, allows black to place his second stone and then passes, budgie will also pass allowing the human to win on Komi. This could certainly be gamed to pump up ones elo but I don't know if thats something that the author particularly cares about, in any case I thought it best to bring attention to it.
