trakmeter's Issues

[REQ] add a (GH-compliant) license file

Hi there, 1st of all thanks for this awesome work !

Since we've 'doxed' it in our HyMPS project (under AUDIO resources \ Visualization/Analysis \ Analysis), can you please add a GH-compliant license file for it ?

As you know, expliciting licensing terms is extremely important to let anyone better/faster understand how to reuse/adapt/modify sources (and not only) in other open projects and vice-versa.

Although it may sounds like a minor aspect, license file omission obviously causes an inconsistent generation of the relative badge too:

(badge-generator URL: https://badgen.net/github/license/mzuther/traKmeter)

You can easily set a standardized one through the GH's license wizard tool.

Last but not least, let us know how we could improve - in your opinion - our categorizations and links to resources in order to favor collaboration between developers (and therefore evolution) of listed projects.

Hope that helps/inspires !

[Feature request] StudioRack integration

It's an open-source plugin manager called StudioRack:
https://github.com/studiorack

The aim of the project is to provide a free open-source way to manage plugin dependencies and their versions. It would involve the following steps:

Publish a Github release containing the plugin source along with metadata plugins.json
Tag your Github repository with studiorack-plugin so it can be discovered
Wait for the studiorack-registry to index your plugin (every 24 hours)
Check the registry feed for your plugin to appear

Can't get the traKmeter visible in Cubase 9.5 Windows 10

Hi,
Thanks for the wonderful plugins. I got the K meter 64 .dll running in Cubase (but it get's black listed every time I startup Cubase) and unfortunately the traKmeter doesn't appear in Cubase. Also when I put the 64 bits .dll's of both plugins in the same folder Cubase can't find it. (res-scan in the plugin manager doesn't help either). In Reaper they both work without any problem!
Regards,
David

Bug: UI is not working in VST2 version

Describe the bug

I can run standalone, but in VST2 the UI is broken.

Steps to reproduce

List all steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. move *.so of traKmeter VST2 plugin to ~/.vst
  2. start Carla
  3. press "Add Plugin" in Carla
  4. double click on traKmeter (stereo) - it should be hosted now
  5. go to "Rack" tab
  6. right click on Carla-made UI of trakMeter
  7. select "Show Custom UI"

Expected behavior

I expect native traKmeter UI to be shown, just as in standalone version.

Screenshots

This weird rectangle below in the middle is traKmeter VST2 UI:

carla_trakmeter

Environment (please complete the following information)

  • OS: openSUSE 15.3 64-bit
  • DAW: Carla 2.1.1 (in this issue I'm using it to connect JACK signals to traKmeter)
  • Plug-in: TraKmeter v2.4.7 VST 2 (64-bit)

Did you compile TraKmeter yourself? no

Tool set (if you compiled the plug-in yourself)

Didn't compile

Additional context

I also tried hosting it Renoise, and the UI is also completely broken there.
