JS-API ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing

Hello, I am working on my application for the ongoing hackaton, and I run into a problem while using the namebase API.

My project is a web hosted in skynet, that uploads files and registers the link into a handshake-URL using the namebase API.

The problem is that, whenever I call the API using fetch (a js function) from my web, I get the error:

Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://namebase.io/api/v0/dns/domains/bunnu/. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing).

Any solution for this?

Best!
Guillermo.

help,

Hello, I am a java developer, all api, get requests are fine, but post and delete requests keep giving errors, 403. Is it convenient to give a sample code.

/depth order

Depth endpoint returns datapoints in the order newest data → oldest data, but TradingView charting library expects data in the opposite order. Note that currently the endpoint is implemented with .reverse() to fix this, so the front-end will break if this endpoint is changed.

(20,000 HNS) - Build an application with Handshake

Gitcoin 'OWN THE INTERNET' Hackathon with Namebase and Skynet

Prize Bounty

10,000 HNS! (est $1000)

There will also be 3 runner-up 2000 HNS prizes.

On top of all that, all entrants who produce a substantially interesting Handshake application or upgrade will win a consolation prize of 250 HNS along with a free t-shirt!

Challenge Description

Build an application which focuses on enhancing Handshake as its fundamental purpose. This application should add a useful feature or functionality to the Handshake ecosystem, making it easy or possible to do something that was previously not easy or possible to do.

Taking an existing open source Handshake application and extending it to support new functionality or otherwise significantly improving the user experience is not only welcome but encouraged.

Submission Requirements:

  • The project must be open source
  • Handshake must be a fundamental element of the application. Bonus prizes available if you use Skynet
  • The app must do something that is useful and interesting.
  • Demo videos are strongly recommended for complete submissions
  • You must have a Namebase account in order to get a free Handshake name to develop with for the hackathon (you can buy one separately yourself as well). If you did not register with the same e-mail you used to register for the hackathon, please DM Johnny Wu in the Namer Community here: https://discord.gg/V3aTrkp

How involved or difficult the application is will not be considered. If a very useful and interesting app can be created with very little effort, this app will still qualify for the grand prize and all other prizes.

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged on the following:

  • How applicable is the application is and how likely is it is to be used by others
  • Potential positive impact on the Handshake ecosystem
  • Works on mainnet
  • Greater appeal to a wider audience
  • Demo videos are strongly recommended

How involved or difficult the application is will not be considered. If a very useful and interesting app can be created with very little effort, this app will still qualify for the grand prize and all other prizes.
