NEX Extension: Alpha Release (v0.1.0)

A NEO wallet and chrome extension that will allow users to interact with decentralized applications on the blockchain through the world wide web.

NOTE: Alpha release is for developers only. We will be doing a release for the general public on March 12th.

Important

Developers: do not use keys with funds on mainNet for the Alpha testing. Please only use keys with funds on testNet or CoZNet

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

Google Chrome Browser

Installing

After cloning or downloading this repo, please open your google chrome browser and go to the extension page found here:

chrome://extensions/

Next, click on the Developer mode checkbox in the top bar. You will then click Load unpacked extensions and select the NEXExtension folder from this repo; this will install the NEX extension for you in developer mode.

You are now ready to create an account, use the extension as a web wallet, and start building your website for users to interact with your dapp through the NEX extension.

NEX Extension Client

To make it easy to interact with the NEX Extension, we have started the process of creating a client library that you can use to pass messages from your site to the extension. The client library is available as a file located in the NEXExtensionClient folder included with this repo. This early version of the client has the following 2 methods, which may be called as described below:

When I perform KYC certification progress according to the video requirements, enter the password in the last step, however, in the actual operation requires the PRIVATE KEY, please help verify is there anything abnormal?

Neon NEX Wallet compromised Please HELP SCAM ALERT

Hi my Neon Exchange wallet has been compromised, i had 32 Neo and 3.3 Gas within the wallet, i downloaded the NEX wallet extension via chrome i filled out my encrypted key and password, i then logged in and it showed me my balance everything seemed to be fine as i could see my balance, i logged in later and my NEO and gas has been transferred to an unknown address this happened around 11.27am UK time 25th April, i later realised that the NEX wallet i downloaded was a fake replica of your wallet, i have tried to search the address online it shows that the address has received more than 500 Neo from different addresses, please help as i have saved most of my saving for this ICO.

KYC: Screen returns to 'Review and Verify' even after clicking 'Confirm and Continue'

After I enter my details and proceed to review and verify, it just returns to the same page asking me to review and verify again. This is after i had issues with my firstname/lastname not matching what i registered for the lottery. Now it just returns to the screen and does nothing. Please look into this as KYC closes soon. Thank you

Replication steps:

1. Enter KYC details
2. Click 'Review and verify' button
3. Click 'These are correct' button
4. Enter password and click 'confirm and continue' button
5. Page returns to No. 2

NEX extention doesn't work

I cannot click "I have read" and "I understand" to use !!!

Recover Account - Usless Button and UI/UX?

I have saved only the details that are useful for NEX UI/UX nothing extra necessary that would expose my account security unnecessary since my password and username are in my brain.

Decided that as UI/UX exposed only the Private Key Backup Code + Username + Password, are the only necessities to recover the access back into NEX application.

But it fails to do anything.
At first I tough is the password, but it gives an error as "account recovery info is invalid".
When I but the correct info, I am sent into a circle of death loop. Waiting to recover my account based on the requested info yet failed..

I have done all necessary from reinstalling the application, Chrome, Resetting data... yet no success.

Infinitely stuck on kyc pending while others were instantly kyc approved

Dear Team,

After multiple attempts of filling in KYC details because of name sensitivity problems, finally after I can only presume that my KYC details matches, its been showing me this page of kyc pending for the past 96 hours. I've checked with the nex telegram community and only less than a handful are encountering the same issue. Is this normal?

KYC Review & Modify page is not transitioning to Success Page after completing verification

After filling the kyc details I clicked "review and verify" and popup appeared but when I clicked on. "These are correct" nothing is happening and I am stuck their only .

I've tried clearing cache, cookies and recent history but unable to finalise my KYC registration.

Please help - would like to participate in the KYC before the deadline if possible

"Create account" step is skipped if re-opened while user was previously logged in to NEX Extension

Valid Nex account (not necessary if you're willing to create new account)

Reproduction steps:

1. Install Nex extension
2. Create new account (or login to an existing one)
3. Click on "burger menu" button
4. Click on "Sign out" button
5. Click on "Create Account" button
6. Click anywhere outside of the extension to close it
7. Click on "Nex Extension"

Now user is taken step forward in registration (to "Select wallet" step) without even filling account details in "Create Account" step. If you proceed further you will end up on null account.

First/Last name does not match name submitted in lottery

I am getting this error message it says "First/Last name does not match name submitted in lottery" though I don't think there was a typo error when I register for lottery also I do not insert middle initial if not ask. I hope this will be resolved soon.

Cannot access neon suite with extension

Hi community,
I cannot access the neon suite in any way. I logged out and now i cannot get back in
It keeps being stuck on decrypting key.

Edit- I managed to login through account recovery. Just key is not working

Colour and password security doesn't work

Donwloaded this for the NEX ico.

I logged in with my private key from another wallet. The app asked me to choose a colour and a password as additional security measures but repeatedly asked me to chose, everytime I went to sign in. It is obviously having issues saving the selected responses.

Posting here as no-one from NEX customer support, the discord channel or the Twitter would respond.

Obviously using Chrome and on windows 10, fully updated. I tried in a clean install of Google Canary in case other extensions were interfering. Again, no luck. Tried another computer. No luck.

Bit annoyed by lack of response and also by the fact that I got into the lottery but then failed kyc and this might have been the reason. I would like to participate in future NEO platform ico;s but if I have to use this then that might be a bit difficult.

I sent 1.4 gas from my neo wallet to the chrome nex add-on.
in the transaction history, instead of the information that 1.4 gas was sent, 99.4544 is displayed.
Old transactions are displayed correctly.

Providing invalid encrypted key while logging in (but with valid format) causes extension to show "decrypting key..." message indefinitely

1. Install Nex extension
2. Accept terms
3. Click on "Login with Key" tab
4. Type invalid encrypted key and any password (I've just incremented one number in valid key, typed "9" instead of "8")

Extension just shows "decrypting key..." message indefinitely. This may confuse future users.

NEX Neon Exchange Neo Wallet problem HELP

How do i block my original wallet as it has been compromised, i have created another wallet by going to recover wallet option, i am reluctant to transfer neo and gas into my new wallet as the scammers may still have access to the original wallet.

Issue with NEX ICO platform

Hi all,

I want to login on the NEX ico platform with the NEX chrome extension (which is working great by the way) and I get the following message: "Seems like there is a connectivity problem. Retry loading" This is not working.

I reinstalled chrome and the NEX extension already but nothing happens. Any suggestions?

NEX Extension showing up blank

Hello and good day team!
The NEX extension has been working fine until today, it is showing up a blank white page now. I re-downloaded the google browser, cleared the cache and also reinstalled the Nex extension via. your suite on your site. still showing blank white.

Username not stored locally - possible solution similar to Metamask?

I was reckles and I have done the one thing you sholdnt do on the decentralized network and that is lost my private key as well as back up key. However I still have my username and password, but cannot use them because I reinstalled the extension which now reports back that the username is not stored locally. Trying to solve my problem I stumbled upon this thread: MetaMask/metamask-extension#2749

Is there maybe a similar solution with nex extension? If yes, which file would be the one that contains the appropriate user data?

PS: I managed to recover some of my previous extension data.

KYC Review - Names doesnt match wathever the order they're typed

When my KYC is reviewed it ve got a message saying my last / first name doesnt match with name used for lottery.
I have tried many times to put the last / first / middle names in all the orders possible and i always fail

Is there a way to know which names have been used in the lottery ? (maybe one letter had been missed ? i dont know what happened)

Username not stored locally

I get the message "Username not stored locally" after I try to login with my username and password. I have private key and backup code and I can access to my account but I don't remember my username. How can I see my username after I login to my account?

Going back to "Select Wallet" step after creating a wallet breaks extension leaving it blank

5. Click on "Create Account" button
6. Select any color and fill unique security word
7. Click on "Continue to wallet selection/import" button
8. Click on "Create new wallet" button
9. Type your password and click "Create new wallet" button
10. Click on "Select Wallet" step (at top) to go back
11. Click on "Create new wallet" button
12. Type your password and click on "Create new wallet" button (what was done now? it created second wallet? or overwritten existing one which was created in previous steps? that's very unclear in this step)
13. Type your password and click on "I have saved this information" checkbox
14. Click on "Continue" button
15. Fill "Last 4 Digits of your Private Key Backup Code" input field
16. Click on "Submit" button

After last step extension is left completely blank.

Hi. I was recently unsuccessful in the lottery first round, which isn't a problem. But the other day the chrome extension just disappeared?? I can promise you I did nothing to warrant it going missing. I have tried to reinstall it but it states that I already have it?
Do you have any idea why this has happened?

kyc approved round 1 and now nothing

Hello Neonexchange team

When the first lottery ended I was successful and I got the page confirming my KYC details approved. I live in Belgium and I was approved.

However, signing in today 15th of April, it shows I am no longer successful.

Can someone please explain how to me what has happened as I am confused.

I am very anxious and sad about this. waited 4 months for NEX and sale coming soon.

Won the lottery! (Or have I?) Review and Verify Issue

I was notified of winning the NEX lottery the other day.
I went to the site and filled out the KYC, but when I click on the Review and Verify tab nothing happens. No pop ups, nothing happens to my wallet. Zero.
I made sure that the browser had pop ups turned on. I even tried it on another browser, but you only accept google.

Extention totaly block Trezor Bridge

Nex extension block trezor bridge app which causes everything related with trezor fails to connect. Extension blocks everything since I can't even reach to trezor bridge logs before disable the nex extension.

Lottery winning wallet is not recognized on new Laptop

First of all sorry for my English, it is not my mother language. I have a lottery winning wallet in NEX Extension on my old Laptop. The Laptop is almost dead, so i bought a new one. I recovered the wallet on my new Laptop and NEX Suite says that i was not successful in lottery.

Picture 1 shows the wallet on my old Laptop, when in the same time i open the NEX Suite with Chrome. Chrome latest Version 66, Windows 7.

I completly deinstalled Chrome and the NEX Extension several times, cleaned all Browser cache, even made a complete new User profile on my new Laptop. It does not work. NEX Suite is not recognizing my wallet as a lottery winning wallet anymore. What can i do? Please help on that issue.

"Review and verify" button does not work

Hey there :)

I've read one thread with this exact problem, in his case though the problem has solved itself without him knowing how or why.

When i click "Review and verify" after confirming that the details i provided are correct, nothing happens. I have tried opening the NEX extension manually as it says in the instructions but it just shows the normal balance page in there. No pop-up or anything.

I have deleted and re-installed the extension already. Pop-ups in Google Chrome are activated.

Any fix to this? thank you!

username not stored locally

I successfully won the lottery but can contribute, I cannot access my nex alpha extension it constantly say's user name not stored locally. I've had computer problems cant locate private my private key. I know the user and password is correct as i open frequently. I have deleted chrome and aplha and re-installed but still nothing.
I sent NEX several emails days ago for assistance.
Help would be greatly appreciated before ico deadline.

Lottery round 1 KYC approved changed to unsuccessful

I was successful in round 1 lottery and my KYC was approved. Today I logged into my account via NEX chrome extension and I get the message: 'You have been unsuccessful'.
A lot of other participants who were successful are getting the same message.

old passport

Hello All,

I have an expired passport from 2015 and national ID and driving licence. For Round 2 I cannot find enough infromation and system says you can only do passport. What should I do? Is 2015 expired passport still valid? Or should I use national ID card?

When trying to login the N Suite page, I got this error notice:

I tried to remove the wallet extension from Chrome, updated to the latest Chrome, reinstall the latest extension, recover the wallet. Deleting the cache file. etc..

But after all these steps. The Error message proceed

How can I log in to the N Suite Page? I tried this on multi-computers. On both Windows and Mac. All failed.

the extension Nex wants to confirm loginToken.
I do not know what that is. I have not received such a code ( loginToken ) at registration.
Every time I enter the extension loginToken it's different.

Review and Verify Bug - please fix

Hi there -

much like other KYC applicants in the below issues, once I enter in my password to complete the stage 1 of the KYC the 'review and verify' section does not load further. I have tried now 5 times to click 'These are correct' and it keeps returning to the review and verify section with the pop up window disappearing.

With the KYC closing on the 7th - please fix this bug.
